To let the national media settle down, and let the smoke clear. NFL free agency would have dwarfed this whole story.
NCAA is breathing down LSUs neck because they showed WEAKNESS and caved to the pressure of the moment.

look, I agree the admin rushed a decision in order to bow to pressure. Alleva has been a disaster across the board and needs to go. Either he has hung his best hire out to dry or his best action as AD has been to hire a coach who will get us hammered, worst case scenario. However, there is no trial here, the government is not going after Wade (as far as we know yet), so his rights here are not constitutional. They are contractual. And while I agree he is smart to follow his counsel's advise to not meet with the board and NCAA before trial, and to make that argument in public because so few get that distinction, you can get fired for any reason at any time in Louisiana. That's pure puffery.
ETA: Just to be clear, I think we should let him finish the season one way or the other. If he cheated and gets caught, we're forfeiting this season anyway, so frick it, let's win the whole thing.

Virginia governor did some really dumb stuff but was smart enough to realize the media frenzy moves on. The media just wants clicks. When stories become tired and stale they move on.

They have managed to frick this situation harder than than the media ever would have fricked them. They literally turned a spotlight onto LSU and the nation is watching what will happen with LSU and wade.
Oh and the cherry on top is that we made the dance this year and this will CONTINUOUSLY be talked about ad nauseam everytime LSU is mentioned.
LSU Admins/BOD made this a 10x bigger story with their knee-jerk decision.

Right at our venerable purple and gold assholes. What I meant was that if they just bit their tongue and waited it out, been uncomfortable for a few more fricking hours, this story wouldn't have the national spotlight it has now.
As we speak, LSU and WW are exchanging blows through the national media and sports writers are frothing at the mouth for the next update.
