Lange would've had to pitch a shutout to win this game it winning with the offense only scoring 1 run. TCU's starting pitcher could've easily gone the distance.

Poche' was pitching a great game until he made the errors.... I blame the offense for this one.. They swing at horrible pitches and let good ones go right by... I was more worried about our offenses more than anything else going into Omaha....

But yet we can get a great game from Lange and maybe work our way back.. The offense has to wake up though.......

I will never forget that 2013 game 1, my first in Omaha. Nola threw a gem, but two errors cost us that game.

For a team with questionable starting pitching depth, it was far less questionable. If Vandy had not going with Fulmer tonight despite having having three high draft pick starters, that would have been both risky and questionable.

They will be favored Tuesday, and their ace Lange is actually the best man to take the mound with the season on the line.

If these guys are mentally strong enough, they'll bounce back. If they are demoralized, they were never tough enough to win it all anyway.

4 wins in a row. It's not crazy. If Lange wins, Newman Bugg Reynolds and Bain will be relied upon heavily over the next two. And you'd still get Lange for game 1 of the series.

I think we will bounce back, they know 1 game doesn't cost them the season. Lange will dominate and breath confidence back into this team. I think we win tomorrow, and hopefully we can piece enough pitching to get to the weekend.

Bain will definitely have to come through with a good start in game three. Then Poche can go for redemption on four days rest.

And then? If it gets that far, who the hell knows but I hope we get to see it.

I know many people think our pen sucks, but I've been amazed how many times we have been able to piece together games from our pen. We don't have any stud arms in the pen, but we have done enough this year. IF they are playing well they can def win us 3 straight games. Will be very difficult but we can do it.

I think the key will be finding our hitting stride again, no-way we can win 2-1 games, especially the offense we have seen by some teams.

It's 4 from here for LSU to win the bracket. The Tigers will have to directly eliminate the other three teams including whoever wins Tuesday night twice.

Dammit. It is 4. Loser of this one. Loser of the winners bracket loss. Then 2 wins over the 2-0 team.

Yep, after those 2 throws, he became unraveled, never recovered; hope today didn't become his Brad Lidge moment!

TCU's best pitcher was better than LSU's second best pitcher. Here lies the problem because LSU could have pitched our number 1....Alex Lange.

If LSU's number one pitcher, Lange, loses to TCU's #1.....then fine, you beat our best.
If LSU's number two pitcher loses in the 2nd game to the opponents #2 pitcher then fine.

If these happen then so be it. We went head to head and lost with our best against their best. This is the CWS. LSU must have the best available pitcher starting. Holding back players earns you a quick exit home.
