Though the new state rules take effect Wednesday, LSU will not immediately increase Alex Box Stadium to 50% capacity. It plans to accommodate more fans in the coming weeks after gauging the interest of season-ticket holders and rearranging seats to maintain physical distance between groups, pending approval from the Fire Marshal.
Just read this quote from an advocate article that I thought was interesting. Shouldn’t they have had a plan for this months ago? I’m not a Woodward hater, but I just wonder how the athletic department is so unprepared for this considering we all knew this would be the next step and it would be coming soon

This is bullshite and shows a lack of preparation.

Yes! Woodward is a political hack. He is Ponamski with table manners.

It sounds to me like they already have a plan in place but it has to be approved by the state fire marshal. Knowing how the state fire marshal works as long as they throw enough money at it this can be done quickly.

This new clown world continues to march forward.

This is such a weird thing to bitch and complain about.
There is a whole lot that goes into setting up a game day. The amount of concession items, concession workers, other staff. Then throw Covid on top with the physical distancing shite, and they have to space seats out to make it all work.
This isn't just a snap your fingers, sell more tickets situation, and it be done. I'm sure they will have it at 50% capacity soon.
The better question is, will it even be at 50% capacity whenever they are ready for it anyway?

Theyve sent the survey to the season ticket holders. Id imagine they get the reaponse they want from most

i mean, they sell out every year. wonder what the response from season ticket holders will be? hmmmm....

Still not setting foot at another event until the mask bullshite is over with. Especially a fricking OUTDOOR event

I did my part. Filled out their survey and put a long comment about having the bleacher nazis stay off of my arse

I like a certain area to sit and my wife is the same way. That's 99% why we haven't gone to a game this year. My FIL is a season ticket holder but we use them more than he does.

I feel like it’s not that weird to complain about the athletic department not having a plan for something they knew was going to happen. Everything you stated such as physical distancing and such has been in place for a year, it’s not some surprise.
My point is you could have had a seating plan for 50% ready to go months ago, why are they just now doing this? And why are they just now sending out a survey to season ticket holders? I can guarantee they want tickets to more games.
These aren’t crazy things to expect an athletic department to do. It’s about doing your job and being prepared.

I expect they'll be at 50% capacity next week. Maybe even above 25% this weekend.
