thanks Ell.
and Chicken if you're listening you should ban anybody that bashes a player. bash coaches all you want but draw a line in the sand when it comes to players. all that negative talk about players just gives tiger droppings a bad name. they try their best day in and day out ......it's just a shame that you let it go on.

If my child played LSU sports, I wouldn't read TD. Almost anything goes here.

Good luck to him. I'm sad to see him go. He was having such a good start to last year, it was tough seeing him get injured.
His retirement puts the 2018 roster at 44/35.

Wasn't the best arm on the team but he made very solid contributions to the team's success. He would have been extremely valuable coming out of the bullpen this year had he not been injured.
Hope he does well in life.

His retirement
An odd way to describe an amateur athlete not playing a game anymore.

What would you call it? He's voluntarily giving up his opportunity to continue playing.

He stopped playing. T-ball players that don't go back the next year don't "retire", they just stop playing. Everything doesn't need a title.

What an odd thing to get triggered about...

Right? And it's not like I'm the first person to ever refer to it that way. It's a well established way to reference a college player ending their career with eligibility remaining.

Nah, man. You're the first and you need to pay for your sins. Thanks to you, we'll probably have 12 more rainouts this year.

He is a polite, well spoken young man.
Sure is, met him a few times. He helped coach at a baseball academy my son went to. Very nice fella. Wish him nothing but the best

With the way the bullpen has performed so far this year, would love to have him this year.
He had the surgery last year and would have probably been back at some point this year. Had to have another surgery, decided to call it quits.
He probably would've qualified for a sixth year had he come back.
I'm sure it's not easy to give up something you love!
