Who are we rooting for as LSU fans? Would it benefit us more to play an undefeated Alabama at this point or a possible undefeated aTm the last game of the season?

I personally believe it'd be best for us if aTm loses to Bama in a close game. That'd give us the opportunity to knock off the #1 team in the nation and presumably a very highly ranked one loss aTm team to finish the season.

I'm in the fold of those whom believe we still have a shot at the playoffs.

I guess if I had to pick one, i'd hope that A&M beats Bama simply because I think we can beat both.

Until Bama quits owning us year in and year out and landing the top recruit in Louisiana every year and winning national championships, I will root against Bama.

It's difficult for me as well, but I'd love for LSU to be the ones that knock them off their high horse.

It really doesn't matter who wins this one, if we beat both of them. I would love nothing more than beating Bama as the #1 team in the nation.

You want A&M to win because if we beat Alabama, run the table and win the SEC (all very unlikely at this point) then Alabama could still skate into the playoffs without the conference championship game based on an 11-1 record and beating the tar out of everyone else on their schedule.

TAMU will fare about as well as UT. I actually think LSU presents the best chance to beat them.

Bama will go to the SEC championship game 12-0. I don't think anyone on their remaining schedule will get within 14 points of them.

What's it matter? Bama will win by 20+. They're coming into Tiger Stadium undefeated.

Battle of the Belt! I'm in. I want A&M to win so we can take it from them at the end of the season.

College Football Belt

quote:

My friends & I were sitting watching football; talking about what a farce Division 1-A college football is without a national championship tournament. Every year, just like millions of others, we gathered together to watch March Madness when a National Champion is crowned in college basketball & we lamented that this doesn’t happen in major college football. Sometime during the 1980’s, most likely 1983 when Miami jumped four spots in the polls over Auburn to claim a National Championship or 1984 when Brigham Young was named National Champions after they had defeated a Michigan team that finished 6-6, we decided to create our own championship. Our logic was simple; we watch as much college football as anyone else so why can’t we name a champion? We wanted the championship to have some history but we had to work within the scheduled games available since we could not create a match-up. The big thing was we wanted the title to be decided on the field like a fight is decided in the ring; this is how The Belt was born.

I don't think that AMs line can handle Bammer's savage DL...LSU will also have a tough time with them...I'm going to say it again...RECRUITING!!!!!!!!!

Trevor Knight may be the X-factor in this game.
