Personally ... I can understand why many are concerned that we were only up 20-16 on Furman at the half.

Don't lose the turnover battle.
Powerful insight there.

So, he had TM7 for a few years to cover up his flaws. Saban's teams are disciplined and crisp; destroying anything in their way. I love LSU but the gap is getting bigger on an annual basis and Bama drums us in 2 weeks.

So why did it take a last second touchdown for Alabama to beat us last year when Tyrann Mathieu wasn't even on the team?

There are so many counts on this board.

Landon Collins wants to destroy LSU because LSU fans shite on him after he committed to Alabama.

No fricking shite.

Ole Miss is a solid win for Bama.

All the idiots talking about how terrible OM is is the reason so many pussies can't stop whining and crying about it to this day.

OM was picked by many to beat us and finish ahead of us to start the season. They had a huge win at UT, then had to deal with a brutal SEC stretch, you know, the thing that makes playing in the SEC so tough, which Alabama, and A&M apparently, never has to deal with??

OM was 3-0, ranked, then had to travel to Alabama and Auburn and lost two hard fought road games to good teams. Then Manziel came in and they lost another last second game.

They were 3-3 because of how their schedule shaped up and had their backs against the wall for their biggest rivalry game.

Anyone that thinks LSU losing to that team, especially at the end of an 8 week stretch with no byes 5 of which were SEC teams 3 of which were on the road, can just eat a big ol bag of dicks. And choke to death of them.

Seriously, anyone spouting that shite is a huge pussy and should be called out for it mercilessly. They have clearly never competed in anything and know nothing about the competitive nature of athletics.

I don't care how many players were hurt. Those were all still SEC athletes on their home field, and most of their young players are going to be better than the older ones they were replacing anyway. It's why OM is a program on the rise right now.

Seriously, anyone who argues with any of that is a huge taint and should be mocked for all to see.

And they would all destroy Furman. 17 points in four games or 16 allowed in one to Furman.

Furman had 198 total yard of offense. That's only 23 more yards than Georgia State had in their game against the almighty Alabama.

Nice try though.

Comments like these would be hilarious if they weren't so goddamned sincere.

No, wait, they're still hilarious. In fact, they're even more hilarious considering how sincere they are.

They gave up 175 yards to Georgia St.

LSU gave up 196 to Furman.

No INT return, you're looking at 9 points. LSU outgained Furman but 500 yards.

48-16. A W.

What were you saying?

For the record I do believe we have a shot at beating them, it's historically at least the ONE GAME that Les Miles teams actually get up for and play to their full potential. The problem arises when we lose that game, our season goes quickly into the shitter.

The other problem is that Alabama intimidates everyone by destroying them, unlike Les Miles teams which actually give lower teams a shot at believing they can can upset LSU and exposing their weaknesses. It's a fundamental difference in approach and one approach appears to me to be working more than the other if you look at championships and getting to the next level (as opposed to W/L records or losing to the occasional shitty opponent).

I agree with this. One thing I'll never understand is Les' reluctance to ever go for the jugular as quick as possible.

But it is what it is. I don't think any of Les' teams are intimidated by Alabama and I surely don't think Les is intimidated by Saban.

Bama's a damn good team this year, but I honestly didn't realize this. I'd still give them great odds of taking the head-to-head against us, but we should show up to play hard. Worth mentioning that we have a better record in Tuscaloosa in the modern era than we do at home?

Ole Miss had 6 defensive starters out including their prize (young as you say) player in R Nkemdiche (sp). LSU laid a gooseegg on offensive for the ENTIRE first half against a depleted OM defensive unit and then even scored only 24 points for the whole game. Let me repeat that, LSU got ZERO points in an ENTIRE half of football against basically a high school defense (as you say about TAM, OM is the same)that was reacked with injuries (I think TAM and others put up over 500 yards of offense on their HEALTHY defense).

No amount of craw fishing or spinning of the facts of the game are going to cover up for that shitfest.

Nobody has to say anything to refute the idea that LSU football is on par with Bama for the last few years.
