After watching certain players last night, are you still blaming THE SCHEME?

...or is it allowable to put some blame on the players for being completely clueless and out of position more than half the game?

Curious to know how you’re feeling about 18 and 7.

If every student in the class fails the test the teacher sucks

Looks to me that every student isn’t failing the test from what I’m seeing.

You can easily do both. They aren't mutually exclusive.

Even still, the teacher should be able to pick out the best students.

Fire Pelini. He's terrible.

Not every student is failing. But this is a class project and a few knuckleheads are bringing the entire class down.

A huge factor is going from 3-4 to 4-3 (4-2, really) without spring and with the wrong personnel. With Spring cancelled CEO should have stuck with the 3-4 for another season while transitioning personnel.

To me, they look like mistakes that inexperienced players make. I think the young guys on O are awesome, and the young ones on D need more experience. Except Ojulari

18 needs to sit. Total different defense with 23 in the game.

18 has played horribly. 7, not quite as bad. Both need to be benched. We must have younger players who can at least do as well as either of these two. Let the youngsters get experience.

You are out of your mind. It’s basically a whole new team running a new defense. Pelini is fine, and will prove to be excellent with time. He’s done it before and he will do it again

18 isn’t clueless and out of position, he just doesn’t have the ability to play 4-3 mlb. He’s a decent 3-4 ILB that did well at reading gaps/guards and now he’s having to cover the flats and run sideline to sideline. This is painfully obvious and SC even came out attacking him right away. That’s not on 18, that’s on the DC for not replacing him or finding another way to maximize his abilities.

7 seems like he’s just trying too hard.

Ultimately, the blame should be shared by many.

Tbf, I don’t think Peking was that great when he was here. 2006 was great. 2007....not so much.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, National Champions, blah, blah, blah.

Stevens and Clark aren't inexperienced players.

The only things I’ll blame on Bo is, sometimes they get LB’s matched up on slot receivers and that seems to be a problem, also have some alignment issues and maybe the players just aren’t getting that corrected as needed within the game. I totally agree the players are f-ing up a lot. Undisciplined dline play, LB’s and safeties not trusting their keys and playing assignment football.

As Bo was quoted as saying..."I can't simplify it any more".

What is undebatable is that Bo Pelini did not have his defense properly prepared to execute successfully against State & Missouri.

Anything else is noise and spin.

without spring

This excuse is peddled so freely. Yes, we didn't have a spring. But the fall camp was literally TWICE as long.
