he is talking about Louisville in 2016. he had his interim tag removed before the bowl game.

Ah ok.

And let's not forget O promised we'd be in the playoffs.

I am really excited about Brennan. I love the big arm, quick release and pocket presence. We've been missing a pure passer for a while. I think its game on. And I'm okay with him taking some more lumps (interceptions) in order to learn how to read defenses and get better. We'll be alright at QB.
Brennan will only be as good as the Offensive Line.

Will Cregg teach them how to competently pass block? Do they have the physical and mental abilities to be consistent pass blockers?

Think about what he admitted to here, he poorly managed the administration of the staff, didn’t manage the roster properly, and didn’t set up a system on offense that he felt good with. I’m done reading O’s puff pieces.

O is a coach that has had absolutely no success as a head coach and should be coaching a mid major college football team right now instead of LSU. However, because of our AD he’s who we have.

If O wants to prove me and many other tiger fans otherwise he needs to actually accomplish something. His strength as coach is motivation so these puff pieces come easy to him. With this years schedule he’ll have every opportunity to prove that he can be an elite (not just an average or even poor) coach.

Till then....don’t tell me, show me.

Shouldn't those players count towards the '16 class since that's when they came to LSU and when they enrolled?

They sat out the 2017 season.

So, by that logic, LSU can sign as many transfers as they want this year and it won't count against the scholarship limit?

Were Fehoko, Giles and Moss not counted in the ranking of that #7 class? I honestly don't know the answer to that.

Thread summary for those who may have missed it:

This thread is classic. It's bookmarked. I'm now convinced Ree is related to Orgeron or really is Derek. We've got illogical defending of mediocre results, glossing over egregious program management errors, defending recruiting guffaws, and threats to shoot people. All by the same poster despite the fact over 20 different posters have pointed out the illogical stance he's taken. Those same posters have asked multiple very fair questions to him and each one has gone ignored. Each poster who disagrees with him has been gracious enough to give him room to back off some of his obvious bias but he's refused to budge. The culmination of this, at least to this point, is practically every poster laughing at this one guys idiocy which has driven the son of O to threats of homicide.

What will today bring? As Avery Johnson would say, "stay tooned...."

“ defend, defend, defend “

Thing is, one speaks to the success of a NC coach and one speaks to....well, to the disappointment of a wasted season while LSU played our weakest schedule in perhaps 2 decades.

If I have to come down on one side or the other, I’m coming down on the side of the national championship coach, but each to our own.

The #51 player coming out of high school. Fehoko AND a Biletnikoff candidate in his sophomore year. Giles AND the 123rd rated player in the nation. Moss What would the ranking be if they included these players that were recruited to LSU by Eaux?

would have greatly boosted the ranking of the 2018 class. Those that are so hell bent on complaining about the ranking of the class conveniently like to forget about these guys. Personally I love the 2018 class particularly on how it focused on the big guys.

Yes it will take awhile to get the execution down until you recruit and sign "Bama Quality" Offensive Linemen. Nothing is going to change that much until the OL recruiting philosophy changes.

there isn't a coach in the country who wouldn't want to recruit "bama quality" o lineman. Has nothing to do with recruiting philosophy. At least we are focusing on getting more ol's than we have in the past and getting the best quality we can

He stepped in before the Troy game. Then we lost to Troy. Then he backed off again. How was him stepping in a good move?

Also damaged our CB depth. I’m not saying this isn’t a good class-I’m excited about the OL/DL too-just saying there’s always 2 sides. For every good thing O has done, he’s made a mistake too.

I think that is all anyone should be asking of him. Even Ree would agree with this. Give O his shot. Credit him where he does good things, knock him when he does things you don't like. But keep an open mind on him.

miles never had to face a Bama team with a Tuioso at QB nor a Georgia team of this caliber. Both NC caliber teams. A win over either of them this season would truly define eliteness. Or going undefeated this season other than the Georgia and Bama games would be elite. But if he were to lose 3 or more games this year, other than the Bama and Georgia games, then it might be time to cut his tenure short.

But, only ONE guy is being paid over $3M to make that decision. It's his responsibility to properly vet and interview candidates and pick the right one that meshes with his philosophy and overall vision of the program.

You don't hire someone that runs a totally different offense than the one you want to run. All it takes is watching one half of football to see that Canada doesn't run anything near a spread or USC type offense. Hell, you can goto YouTube and see That too. That is awful program management.

Seriously? I think Miles faced plenty of NC caliber teams. In fact, beat the 2011 NC team.

“ turned out not to be true”

What turned out not to be true was the thought Coach O wouldn’t “meddle” with the O.

Wasn’t that some kind of big selling point on the him? He was going to let the coordinators do their thing. That didn’t last too long.
