re: After reading the story by Ross Dellenger - I feel better about Coach O than ever !

Think about what he admitted to here, he poorly managed the administration of the staff, didn’t manage the roster properly, and didn’t set up a system on offense that he felt good with. I’m done reading O’s puff pieces.
O is a coach that has had absolutely no success as a head coach and should be coaching a mid major college football team right now instead of LSU. However, because of our AD he’s who we have.
If O wants to prove me and many other tiger fans otherwise he needs to actually accomplish something. His strength as coach is motivation so these puff pieces come easy to him. With this years schedule he’ll have every opportunity to prove that he can be an elite (not just an average or even poor) coach.
Till then....don’t tell me, show me.
I don’t understand how someone like Tiger Ree or Space Cowboy could read something like this and continue to double down on how much we hate LSU and Coach O and want him to fail. You are absolutely correct. This is all anyone is saying when we talk about having doubts about him. Excellent post.

miles never had to face a Bama team with a Tuioso at QB nor a Georgia team of this caliber. Both NC caliber teams
Uh, what??

A win over either of them this season would truly define eliteness.

Or going undefeated this season other than the Georgia and Bama games would be elite.

But if he were to lose 3 or more games this year, other than the Bama and Georgia games, then it might be time to cut his tenure short.

At least we are focusing on getting more ol's than we have in the past and getting the best quality we can
We have 12 OL on the roster for 2018 (assuming no attrition between now and the season) after having 11 last year. Both numbers are the lowest on any of our rosters this century.
It would be easier to take some of you more seriously and actually have a real discussion about Orgeron if you didn’t insist on making shite up or repeating the propaganda talking points without putting any kind of of thought into it whatsoever.

Be honest now.... would you have said it was the weakest schedule in 20 years BEFORE the season started??????

I know you've made that argument a few times before, but I still don't understand what that has to do with assessing the success of the season. The season gets judged at the end, not the beginning.

but he is targeting that area hard trying to make up for it. Plus all 12 seem capable of being SEC caliber or better. We had a couple declare early for the draft that really shouldn't have in Clapp and Weathersby. Despite that we have talented depth which is the difference from the past.

Oh I agree.... I have always said he is not the right guy for this job..... it's just a jab at Miles knob gobblers who just like to bash the current coach and hope he fails... which means they also want LSU to fail.....

What turned out not to be true was the thought Coach O wouldn’t “meddle” with the O. Wasn’t that some kind of big selling point on the him? He was going to let the coordinators do their thing. That didn’t last too long.
I don't think that was a big selling point at all. I would have been disapointed if he wouldn't have "meddled" with the way the offense started the season.

How is that supposed to be a jab at Miles? All trotting that argument out does is makes you look stupid
Posted on 3/10/18 at 10:22 am to Tiger Ree
I’ve yet to see you blame O for anything.

eriously? I think Miles faced plenty of NC caliber teams. In fact, beat the 2011 NC team.
I'm just saying Miles never faced a bama team like this. Bama finally has a great QB to go along with all the rest of the great talent. It was always the missing link on those teams that gave other teams a shot to beat them. Georgia may just be at that level as well. Two perhaps unbeatable teams on our schedule next season. Miles never faced unbeatable teams before.

so you feel better bc of a pump article by delly and Orgeron?
Ed reminds me of one of those penny stock CEOs who promise the world to his shareholders but in the end he will ultimately screw all of them and make out like a bandit with their money.

Lol, delusional. It was one of O’s biggest selling points.

honestly I don't blame him for putting that out there. Some of the attacks on him personally have been over the top and seem crazed.

I think for every anti-O nut job, there's an equally dumb pro-O nut job. Most people are somewhere in the middle. Some are hopeful, some are skeptical, but not all are speaking in absolutes.

You can't be serious here. If any attacks are out there, they are usually retaliation.

not to the people who made the hiring decision. It was a meme created by the board as a backlash towards Miles.
