Do you think kids were standing in line to play for Duke? C'mon you're not this slow. My problem with Willy was he sucked at cheating. Growing up he probably was bad at Hide-Go-Seek too.

it's the double standard that really, really still burns me in regard to WW. I'll never quit opining about it. Duke bought Zion's Mom a $900K house everyone knows it and everyone pretends it didn't happen, meanwhile Dick and Forde ignore it and go scorched earth after WW - they were relentless. I'll say it every time this comes up.....because it's the height of hypocrisy.

I’m in the minority and I am ok with that but justifying wades behavior by saying others do it too is a poor argument. Just because multiple people do it - doesn’t make it acceptable. The other issue is someone in a position of authority should exhibit a certain value set but like in most cases we default to just winning or profit at the expense of everything you say you stand for. It’s all just talk at that point. If he cheated and pushed the edge before why wouldn’t he do it again? With that being said I can buy that fact that he may have earned a second chance. Time will tell. I’m ok with the downvotes but the leaders in a place like LSU should be just that - leaders. To some degree this all illustrates the value set of our governor and some of the boosters making the calls. Values and integrity may not be important to many but for me Wade has to earn all of this praise with actions.

I’m not arguing with that.. he screwed up not hiding better. My argument is against those who get on their high horse and act like he invented cheating in college basketball and turn a blind eye to the blue bloods.

We don’t want to tarnish those we have held as heroes.
And on the other side of the ledger we need villains to revile.
John Wooden will forever be a hero, and Will Wade has become a villain. Probably always will be.
As in wrestling it might be best to embrace that status.

However, on.planet earth, in order to field the most dominant football team in college history in 2019, you have to cheat PROFUSELY to do it. By the way, have you disavowed that team yet, or are you still proud of what Burrow and the boys achieved that season?
When programs are run following your lofty standards, you end up with a 17-55 SEC record.
Are you seriously stating you want our programs run the "right way" resulting in the ABYSMAL records that would surely follow?
Wouldn't it be better for you to just stop watching big time sports because it offends you so much, and maybe root for some D3 or JC teams?
