How many serviceable QBs did Herman and Meyer have that year?

That team had Urban Meyer, Tom Herman and may go down as the most purely talented team in Big 10 history.

And you're pretty damn blind to the differences between them then and LSU now.

Herman and Meyer take anyone wth a pulse and turn them into a serviceable QB. They made people believe Braxton Miller was a heisman candidate and that Jones was an NFL prospect.

Herman took a receiver and turned him into an incredible QB that beats up on FSU and OU.

We still are lost on offense.

And our coach still doesn't ever make adjustments..

Not likely to run the table with his current mindset.

Heck, we can't help but lose 3 games every November now..

running backs are all arguably tops in the nation. That has to count for something

True but not if you continue run them into a brick wall play after play. Fournette will get his hard earned yards but its obvious every coach has figured out how to slow him down.

The difference is we don't have Urban Meyer as a head coach.

Yeah. We have a coach that either is too stubborn to stop running into a brick wall or too stupid to see that we are running into a brick wall (or a combo of both).

is this you ?

This time she won't pull that ball away. You're dumber than Elmer J. Fudd (Lester J. Miles) if you really believe any of that crap.

You're not wrong. However, Les has proven he refuses to change the course that has costs him games over the last several seasons.

The offense/QB struggled in Nov. of 2015 nearly costing him his job. After being saved at the last minute, the thought by some (many?) was last season was going to be the ultimate wakeup call that things HAD to change (at least to some degree). After 8 months of hype and mostly positive events, Les comes out with a national championship caliber group and implements the EXACT SAME APPROACH that nearly got him fired 8 months ago. It is as if LSU picked up right where they left off after the Ole Miss game. The offense was horrible. Special teams were horrible. NOTHING CHANGED!

So yes, LSU's hopes for a conf. champ or playoff appearance aren't technically dashed. However, is there any reason to think Les will make the necessary changes to do everything he can to avoid a second loss?

Yes but this has a way different feel to it. I really think everyone has lost patience and confidence that the offensive coaches know what the hell they are doing. If the players start feeling that way it's going to get ugly.

Do Miles' LSU teams typically get better as the season goes along?

Ohio State went 13-0 following the VT loss and averaged 47ppg in those 13 wins.

Following the VT loss, they scored:
60+ points in 1 game
50-59 points in 5 games
40-49 points in 5 games
31 points in 2 games

Something tells me we aren't going to get those numbers offensively with our philosophy.

Ok so... That team had a firepower to it that this LSU team just doesn't have. You LSU homers have zero clue what reality is.
