Bringing my 5 year old to his first game in Tiger Stadium for Clemson. He's handled a few games fine, including the 100 degree debacle at Vandy last year, but never a 6:30 kickoff. Looking at first couple rows of the upper deck se he's in a seat rather than bleachers.

I've never sat in the uppers on either side. For a 6:30 kickoff I assume the sun is mostly a non issue by then? Any other pros/cons of east vs west upper I should consider?

Appreciate any first-hand input.

the game is in early September. The sun will be bad on the east side until at least halftime.

The sun sets in the West so it's easy to figure out where you want the sun relative to your viewing position.

I don’t think East Uppers would be an issue for a 6:30 kickoff as long as you’re not getting in there at 5pm to sit in your seats.

Preferably West uppers if price isn’t a huge difference

East you're going to have the sun in your face for a while. West is way better imo.

It will still be pretty damn hot and may get some sun at kickoff in the east uppers for Clemson. I would get tickets in the west uppers.

I got the worst sunburn of my life in the East Upper vs Florida a few years ago.

It was mid-October, btw.

West 100%.
