No. They are a legit top 8 team, but not an unequivocally better option than some of the others should they finish at one-loss.

No. It has nothing to do with us hating Bama, Saban, or whatever. We argue to not let them in the for the same reason we argue to not let in Ohio State as a 1-loss non-conference champion. You want in the CFP, earn it. Bama hasn't and one win against a 4-loss AU team (assuming Bama wins) shouldn't be enough to earn that spot.

Wrong. LSU helped make Saban. Prior to coming here is was a perennial 8-4 little brother to Michigan. If his agent doesn't sell LSU on him, he doesn't go to Miami and he doesn't go to Bama. Saban excels in the SEC not because of his coaching ability, but because of his recruiting practices. He is a bad arse recruiter and he is ruthless. He finds the needs of his primary competition and then tries to recruit away those needs. He's done it to LSU on the DL for years and he is doing it to UGA by pulling several players from Kirby.

This. I completely understand why some fans want us to face Bama again and beat them. For them, it would exorcise the ghosts of 1/9/12. If we didn't have so much to lose by doing it, I'd agree. From my perspective, I'd prefer that the CFP committee reaffirm my belief that they can be impartial and not influenced by the media, and do the right and fair thing, which is to keep Bama out of the playoffs, unless there are no one-loss conference champs.

It's never good to play a team twice in a season. The team that loses first is much more motivated to win in the second match up. Bama had their chance. No more.
