t's almost like LSU should have hired a proven qb devloper/offensive mind as head coach.

Or at least as OC and might have had a QB coach instead of TE Coach

I'm pretty sure two of the three QB's you're referring to were recruited and developed by Jimbo for 4 yrs. But sure, let's stick that feather in Miles cap.

LOS wins ballgames

Bama wins games with "Game Managing" QB's.

Who's been there best QB over the past 10 years, McCarron?

It's a lazy man's argument. What we DO lack is finding a system to make our QB's more successful.

What's bothered me is being next door to Tx with some of their teams having down years. All those qb's that come out of that state and we can't go get any of the better ones because of evaluation problems. Keenum, Ponder, Foles, Luck, stidham, mahomes, kolb, etc.

And I don't even wanna talk about Dak.

Didn't Florida think they did that with their previous coach? It is no guarantee.

nothing is guaranteed. but you certainly increase your chances of improving your greatest position of need by hiring someone who knows what the hell they're doing.

Sims, McCarron, Coker all put up better stats than the LSU QBs of the last few years.

The debacle at QB is most disgusting but what about the fact that we have more players in the NFL (or is it second most now?) and have zero nattys to show for it?

Sweet all we have to do is hire the GOAT College coach have him recruit and sign the #1 class every year and we’ll be in bidness. BTW 2011 LSU was very good on the LOS how did that work out?

The real lazy thinking is assuming you have to choose between the LOS and QB. The 2 are not mutually exclusive.

Besides Bama which is the ultimate outlier, look at other recent championship teams. 16 Clemson 13 Florida St 10 Auburn 08 Florida 05 Texas. What do they all have in common? And which of team was weak on the LOS

ETA: what changed the NCG this year between Bama and UGA?

LSU fans can't handle the idea of high level qb play. they are only willing to accept a game manager. LSU fans worship at the alter of the game manager.

Not sure I would go there.
The problem has been the identity of the offense and recruiting to that philosophy.
They have had enough talent to be serviceable in whatever system they want to run.
Lee and Jefferson were not bad QB's.
Mett and Etling will get shots at the NFL.
Harris had talent and showed it at times.
I never thought Jennings was any good except for one pass against Ark

I’ve noticed a contingent of LSU fans seem to have this belief that you can not be good on offense and defense at the same time and that somehow improving the offense means sacrificing the defense

I got news for ya, baw. LSU has not been a QB school for generations; this is not something new since Miles.

This was a classic argument from Jimmy Ott anytime there were discussions on the Baylor offense, or coaches like Larry Fedora.

Blake sims threw for 64.5%----3,487 yards-----28tds----10 ints his one season as a starter

LSU fans would bury their dicks in his arse and claim him king of scotland with that type of production here
