The rant said he was a God sent and the injury was the reason why WW team didn’t make Final 4 last year.
True story.
True story.

shite on the players to excuse the coach. This is the new Rant playbook.

Since SEC play its hard to decide who is worse. Him or Hill.
I’m very disappointed in how poor Miller has played. But Hill is on a whole different level of terrible. That guy is utterly useless.

I thought the rant knew something that wasn't apparent. Or perhaps they were just going by his scouting. This is what 247 said about him:
"Standing around 6-foot-3 and possessing good length, he has positional versatility on both ends of the floor. One of the better shooters from the guard position. Has good athleticism to complement that. Offensively he is best off the ball where he can be a catch-and-shoot guy that also attacks closeouts. On defense, he shows the ability to defend either guard spot physically and should project to be above-average on that end going forward."
He does match the scouting from an athletic point of view, but he isn't fulfilling any of the other potential. He really is shooting the same percentages as he did at Illinois. They need to adjust how he's being used.

I thought having him last year would’ve gotten us to elite 8, I 100% don’t believe that.
He ain’t good at all.

You have to think the knee is still bothering him? He almost refuses to cut on it to attack the basket and will kind or arch around and pass up shots if it requires a hard cut toward the basket.

You may be right about his knee, but they run a lot of plays for him to get open that require a lot of cutting. He drove to the basket really nicely at least once today. I wish he would do that far more. He also had a chance for a reverse layup today that he passed on, and then got the ball back to take a 3 that he missed. I think CMM is telling him to keep shooting 3s, and it's killing us. He hits them at a decent rate when he gets good screens or is able to spot up, but when he takes contested 3s, he misses almost all of them. He needs to play more like Hannibal, because Miller seems smoother driving. He just doesn't do it much.

Miller shot 34.0% for 3 at Illinois.
He’s shooting 33.6% for 3 this year.
The myth that he was some kind of great shooter stemmed from comments Wade made about how good of a shooter he is and the rant and Baton Rouge radio geniuses ran with it.

The truth is he isn’t actually shooting that much worse than what he did at Illinois.
He's basically the same exact player this year that he was at Illinois. I never understood why people on here said that he was our best player/scorer last year. Where did they come up with the idea that he is some elite shooter?

It’s a critique not a criticism.
Fans are allowed to do that.

He just needs to quit taking quick 3s, before the team is there to support, and contested shots, and he should also drive more. He has a lot of talent, but I think we need to change how he's being used.

I dont think hes lazy on defense. If you watch he actually really hustles which I think at times is at his detriment cause he often gets caught over perusing.

Yes, which is why he can’t really guard anyone. I agree he shows effort on D, it’s just never effective. The fact that he just can’t shoot is what’s really the dagger. I like what I saw from Ward, for his few minutes. Don’t think he missed.

So how do you explain the players being bad?
