We pay Maineiri 1.3 million and he is the highest paid College Baseball Coach and LSU Baseball makes money. So the solution to things according to the “woke” crowd is to go pay several million to a Women’s Basketball Coach to coach a team which LOST 4 million dollars last season. Lol.

Can we not interject politics into every last thing?

I like Jordy, but I wouldn't trust his reporting. He has a tendency to jump the gun by reporting inside discussions as already decided conclusions.

Ticket sales are not the only factor in this equation. And I used to go to many WBB games back when we were good. Why would I have spent a dime on it in the last decade?

Agreed ticket sales are not the only factor. TV revenue is a huge factor and nobody wants to pay to advertise. Not just at LSU. The NCAA just lost 2.8 million dollars on the Women’s Basketball Tournament. The NCAA lost 14 million on Women’s Basketball for the season. This is not the individual schools but just the NCAA for the season.

Women’s Basketball is not going to turn a profit with or without Mulkey.

It's going to be fantastic when Woodward blows the budget on Mulkey and doesn't move the needle on a sport no one cares about and then can't afford to replace the baseball coach.

What would you consider blowing the budget? LSU Sports (TAF) has a LOOOOOOOOOOT of money!

I can assure you that Woodward has access to the financial reports. He can see how much we lose now vs what we did in our best years. He will use that to judge what is equitable. I'd be that with a successful program, the net loss would be a push vs the past few years (not even factoring the covid year).

So you think spending millions on a Women’s Basketball Coach for a program that has never made a nickel is wise coming out of Covid and reduced fans, reduced number of games, and millions less in overall revenue?

I love how y’all balance your books. Lol.

So fire all current womens coaches and most mens coaches and replace them with people from here that will do the job for $60k a year. There is more to it than that. Try to not be so simple minded.

Jordy is just angling to be named Special Assistant to the Head Coach. We have seen this dog and pony show before.

You can tell from his comments he's coming back and it's going get ugly when they start SEC play about the same in 2022

I’ve seen nothing at all that indicates that one way or the other.

A push? Paying millions to a coach for a program which has lost money forever and I mean millions lost. There is no way Mulkey or any other Coach can bring millions to just pay her salary.

It is Women’s Basketball and there is a reason it loses money hand over fist everywhere.
