A&M is playing at a really high level right now. They are much better than their record would indicate. I would be thrilled if we just win the series.

Highly unlikely you sweep. 2 of 3 will be hard. Win 1 and a super is still doable. A&M has been playing good and will very tough at home. Arkansas struggles on the road and South Carolina just struggles. 4 of 6 down the stretch is possible even probable. Just don't get swept this weekend.

We have to get 1 of the 3. That’s absolutely necessary after being swept by Auburn.
Winning the series would be huge. That would put us in line for a top 8 seed as long as we don’t shite the bed at the end.
A sweep on the road seems crazy, but that would obviously be massive. It would take some luck with our bullpen.

I agree. Winning just one of those games and LSU will be solely in second place with a one game lead over Arkansas and a two game lead over Tennessee. Win 2 out of 3 with Arkansas and LSU has the head to head tiebreaker over both Arkansas and Tennessee.

The biggest A&M series ever was the 1989 College Station Regional.
The Tigers beat the Aggies twice on the final day (13-5, 5-4, 11 innings) to advance to the CWS. LSU played 6 games in 4 days. The Aggies were 55-5 going into the regional.

Well losing 1 of the 3 to Oklahoma on the road would have put us right back in the spot we are currently in as well, had we won a game at Auburn. See how I can do that the opposite way? Don't look at every series in a vacuum. LSU is EXACTLY where they want to be right now, regardless of where the wins and losses stacked up at. Just have to finish it out.

I think all we really need to do is finish in the top 3/4 of the SEC. The SEC is far too deep and talented to get any less than 3/4 teams as national seeds.

19 wins locks up a national seed. I think 20 wins has you in line for one of the top 4 national seeds. Avoid sweeps, avoid injury, and catch some breaks with seeding and Omaha is in reach.
