This is a very good answer.......

Come on, admit it.

You were defending Tepper and Gerry D back then.

defending and supporting are two different things. There are some things i won't even defend Miles on....but if they're wearing purple and gold i'll always support them.

Remember Dinardo and Tepper? Who was the problem there?

Tepper for f'n everything up....Dinardo for not firing him.

Hmm. Any dots to connect?

I don't think Miles is nearly as stubborn as Dinardo. And if you think about it...'09 was the only bad offense Crowton has had here. In '08, besides Lee, the numbers weren't bad. But i do think that if Crowton doesn't step it up this year he's gone....and think Gonzo may be the OC in waiting.

Its a good answer, but I would change it to this.

10-2 or better, definitely stays
9-3, stays but on hot seat again next year.
8-4, need to have somebody good lined up before a move is made, otherwise, hold out tell we can find better. No use in making things worse just to change.
7-5, that lady coach from the Wash, DC high school area would do
If he loses 6, fire him in locker room after game. Make Choctaw help him pack up his house.

Oh and for what its worth, I'm a Les Miles supporter, but last Saturday was hard to watch.

Still, I'm sticking with my earlier prediction about a week ago. LSU goes 14-0.

10-2 with a team this young bodes well for next year. Undefeated in Tiger Stadium would also do very well for CLMs reputation.

But, I'd still rather have Gary Patterson.

Yes, 10 wins deserves another year. Not like they plan on firing that guy anyway with two years left on his contract. Crowton would be the first to go in 2010. If things did not improve in 2011, buyout time for CLM.

yes.
even though i have no confidence in miles, his overall record would still be outstanding with a 10-2 year, AND, with a lot of young talent, we look to have an outstanding year next year.

one other point - even though JJ is not going to be great this year, (IMO) he will be a senior next year. there are a lot of qb's who look great their senior year, and i would bet that even JJ will look good next year.

If LSU goes 10-2 this year, I will certainly give Miles another year for sure. I am not a big fan of Miles but yes..I will admit that I was wrong about him if his team can win 10 games this year...even if 10 wins includes a bowl victory. I still predict 7-5 this regular season, but If the tigers win 10 games this year, I will give Miles at "LEAST" another 2 years assumming Miles wants to stay.

What say we cut the crap & get down to brass tacks? If LSU finishes the regular season 10-2 this year, will you be willing to accept that he deserves to be back in 2011?

Can't speak for everybody but for me it's not about the record. Miles' record has been pretty good overall. It's about how the team plays. I won't accept sloppy and undisciplined football regardless of the record.

Not that I'm happy with sloppy and undisciplined, but if we win 10 or more every year, I'll take it.

He produces, he deserves to stay. It's that simple.
