No idea how this came across me. Ive never seen this particular video before. It just shows how close we were throughout the years and make me wonder where the programs are, if things were a little different. Not every time, but the constant trade off of wins.

Top 5 LSU/Bama games

One of those I put on Chavis and his bullshite prevent defenses

It let Alabama drive the entire field relatively quickly with literally zero pressure

We absolutely blew 2012 and 2014 games in TigerStadium.

Those were LSU wins if LSU takes care of business in the final minutes.

And we probably would have went on to win the national title in 2012.

2014 yea. Lsu could have had that one but 2012, meh, we should have never let lsu back in the game up 14-3. Until that last drive we had thrown 7 total passes in the 2nd half. Saban totally took his foot off the gas.

Absolutely! The moment I saw us go into prevent defense I said “we just lost this game”.

We had been all over their QB all night. I still to this day do not understand why we went prevent in that last possession they had.

Shitty coaching by Chavis, only answer. Saban removed his soul too.

Dude, where do you come up with this shite? When you are only up by 11 points it’s not “letting a team back in the game”. Saban didn’t “take his foot off the gas”. He thought his defense could hold the lead and his offense could milk the clock. He was confident in that.

Bama wasn’t up by 4 scores, dude. If the score is 14 to 3, your foot was NEVER “on the gas”.

Running the wildcat with Spencer Ware right into the teeth of Bama's defense on 4th and 1 right around their 36 or so still kills me.

That's when Les lost the Mad Hatter in him. If he uses Ware to do a Pop pass to a tight end there, dude might have walked in for a score.

In the 2014 game our QB was a stellar 8-26 for 76 yards and an interception that gave Bama the ball at the LSU 29 yard line.

In the worst 5 losses categories for sure. Just a total defensive meltdown

That’s not entirely accurate. 2014, 3rd & 4, Blake Sims felt the corner blitz & ran for the 1st down. No doubt in my mind that they weren’t picking up the 1st if that blitz gets home. That was the play that we let em off the hook on. Of course none of that matters had the zebras not pulled the egregious call on 1st & Goal.

EVERYONE remembers the final drive in the waning seconds culminating with Yeldon running crazy through our D and in for the winning score.

However, most don’t remember that we gave up a similar “2-minute drill” score right before halftime. I was at the game and LIVID over how easily we let them score on that drive that put them up 14-3. They scored 14 of their 21 points on tempo drives before each half. We gave up one other real drive during the rest of the game (approx 80 yards, IIRC). We dominated the LOS most of the game.
