Lots of us contribute much every year to the TAF, which in turn is to promote and foster excellence in every LSU athletic endeavor, which provides, in kind, more than generously, to Academic side of the University System.

Dont need some Prog Wuss from Niziland telling us how to spend our money.

just right there tells me you are clueless of what goes on at LSU..I am a LSU alum that follows LSU very closely and if you would follow LSU like I do you would agree with me that King is an absolute failure as the LSU president. Academics have slipped significantly, piss poor money management, terrible hierarchy etc. In other words, King sucks at strategic planning. Also, The new consolidated President Role has taken away focus and perspective from the LSU mothership, LSU Baton Rouge. Furthermore, anyone that follows King knows he has a tendency to be bat shite crazy.

LSU is a southern based University. Athletics will be part of the equation. This isn't Yale. And the current situation at Alabama totally destroys your argument. Since Saban arrived in 2007, a significant investment has been made to Bama's academic side and Bama now is ranked ahead of LSU.

As long as people think like you this state is doomed.
You are either young or really old. and you dont remember how LSU was pre Mark Emmeret. Mark Emmeret, made this university what it is today because he knew the success of the football team would bring in money to the university. And the university has had its best run in its history.

If you enjoy his #133 in the nation. Then maybe you need to change your thoughts.

so tired of the "culture" talk. just a buzzword for more wasted money.

a society's culture is what they do. how they do it. we should put more money into engineering and science research and make more contacts/establish pipelines in the business world. our culture will reflect it.

so sick of culture being thought of as tied to the arts, food, etc. every time you here talk of entertainment, culinary skills and whatnot tied to culture, you know the culture is probably shitty.

such great singin', dancin', drinkin' and eatin baws! woo-hoo, more shiny things to look at!

i guess the fascination with downvoting someone is more important than trying to fix the problem at LSU. Rather par for the course for the retards that frequent this board.

You've posted here for a long time. I'd have thought you knew this already.

The only mission worth having is getting King and Alleva's dumb asses out of the state of LA.

Another big misconception is royalties LSU receives off it's brand. Those royalties go to the main side of the campus not the athletic side. Bama got a monster bump in royalties since 2007. Money that is invested into the academic side.

And none of that, absolutely none of that, actually makes sense as a critique to that letter.

You don't even understand what his argument is. You are projecting something that was never actually said, and then arguing against that. You are just looking for a reason to unload and talk at people instead of with people.

Here's the point in simple terms that MAYBE you will understand. As much of an incompetent ghoul as F King is, that letter in content had nothing to do with athletics and trying to project that it does is nothing more than an irrational non sequitur. It is within the responsibilities of the president of the university to talk about academics and research.

This stuff happens if you get a championship caliber football team to bring in the bucks. It doesnt happen if you go cheap on a HC instead of investing in the football program.
