the Bama vs LSU game should be played at night in primetime. I don't understand why CBS will go against tradition for one of the biggest battles of the year in the SEC.
Also, I thought ESPN/ABC had a huge contract with the SEC to broadcast all of their games? Has that not kicked in yet or something?

Go against tradition? CBS's tradition of having 1 night game a year has been around for only about 10 years. This year it's Fla/Bama. For a few years, it was LSU/Fla. And for many years before that, it was Tenn./Fla.
Fans need to get over the "day game" crap. Yes, LSU has traditionally played night games. And yes, the atmosphere of a Tiger Stadium night game is noticeably different. But the tradition of night games started in an era where very few college football games througout the country were shown on TV on any given Saturday. This is 2010 and essentially every game (at least for the BCS conferences) is on TV now. TV runs the show and tells these school when they will play. Where does everybody think this HUGE money that the SEC gets now comes from? It isn't from increased hat and t-shirt sales. Fans need to get over the day game issue.

Gee, maybe because they're paying the SEC millions of dollars to be able to show their games on TV.
Just like everyone else, I'd prefer night games, but fans need to quit getting so butt hurt about day games. They come with the territory of having a successful football program. If you want nothing but night games, call Aleva and ask him to rehire Curley Hallman.

there is nothing worse in my opinion than a day game. for several million reasons but ill just assume that everyone already knows them all

The only problem with day games is that they are HOT.
The only problem with night games is the horrible Louisiana Saturday Night song blasted on the PA system pre-game.
Hard to decide which is worse.

Well, now that you mention Mint Juleps, I think I will go mix one.
I attended a day game that was the first of the season: late August or early September ( I don't recall). It was so hot by kick-off (around 1:00) that we were hoping for rain.

A lot of day games in Tiger Stadium this year?

One minor correction to this statement. The Dandy One is the ultimate source on how the catfish are biting on any given day.

I just couldn't tell what "frick" modified in the sentence.
Is it an imperative?
frick! People wonder why he gets bashed.
It is an adjective?
frick PEOPLE (which is like saying, YOUNG PEOPLE, or OLD PEOPLE) wonder why he gets bashed. But I confess, I don't know what a frick PERSON is.
Or is it a verb?
frick (those) people (who) wonder why he gets bashed.
Alas, I did suffer through Louisiana public schools, which perhaps explains my weak hermeneutic skills.

You do understand that I did not write that sentence, correct?
However, I believe Bill was trying to say, "frick, people wonder why he gets bashed."
