A little perspective is needed by some here.......

First of all, I'm very upset about the game last night, but recall 2003 when one of our very best teams had their tails whipped by a mediocre Florida team coached by Ron Zook. Teams have bad games, it sucks our occurred in our most important game, but hey there is a ton of the season left and all sort of wacky scenarios can play out that put us where we want to be.

No disrespect, but frick perspective. I just want to beat Bama. I'm so sick of seeing Saban's childish smirk after he beats us.

What do you think Alabama would do with a coach that lost 5 straight times to LSU?

If Bama coach loss five in a row to us he would be on a very hot seat are already gone.

didn't Shula lose 4 in a row to LSU and maybe 5 in a row to AU? He was fired.

Ugh. I don't care what the gumps would do. If their thoughts and standards ere what you think that we should aspire to, you are wrong.
If I wanted to be a gump fan I would be.
Miles' record at LSU speaks for itself. Put that record against any coach in the nation over a ten year period and get back to us.

I think his home loss to Croome was the chair kicker

Nah, it was the loss to Arky. People need to get over the Saban/Bama obsession. There is more to the season than just them. And btw, they stumble too and have bad days. No team is perfect.

When losing to that team is the sole reason LSU can't win championships, though....

True. But the season is a marathon. There is more to it than just the Bama game. One loss is not everything. Bama this year could lose another and it opens another door for us if we take care of our business.

What a crock of shite. It wasn't some "fluke" or crazy turnover game, we got manhandled, outcoached, and embarrassed on national prime time television.
I'm sorry you pumpers can't get a grip on that.
It's also happened 5 damn years in a row.

We did not get manhandled in 2012 or 2014. We lost five in a row. But we were competitive in the home games.

If you want to win the SEC you have to beat bama and I want to win the SEC. I'm glad that you're satisfied with 2nd or 3rd place.

Miles is still the one to coach LSU. Players love him. He's a proven winner. Great record during his tenure.
Let the loss go. Play well the rest of the season and win a bowl game.

I totally agree if Saban lost to a team five years in a row and didn't sniff a national championship then he would be on the hot seat. At LSU you get a raise

The difference is just that. Florida was mediocre and wasn't going to finiah ahead of us. Bama is the only team stopping us from being the top program in the country. To be the best you have to beat the best, and even though there is more to the season than just that game, it's still the biggest one and lately we just can't win it.
And even if they lose to MSU and we go on to win the sec and maybe even the natty, it's still tainted our 5th straight loss to them. In a rivalry, bragging rights are the ultimate prize.

Alabama is probably the #1 team in the country.
So the perspective is we lost to the best team in their house.
It's not like we're talking about an unranked team we lose 5 in a row.
Add the fact Saban gets dialed in for LSU like no other. His recruiting certainly suggests some truth.
