The school needs money

You may wanna look in the mirror there. I'm having my doubts about your reading comprehension. I'm also curious as to how one has a "battle" in that department? Ah well, I'll leave that struggle to you & your Sylvan tutor.
Ok dude...go frick yourself. I am sure if we really wanted to open up a debate and look at post history, you would get far more votes for being a ranter than you would imagine. I would love to open that up for discussion....

It's not changing folks so get over it. This is major college football. We are going to make money every way possible and that means getting the most out of tv contracts that the SEC sets up.
I can't wait until the attendance starts to reflect this new era of LSU sports and college football that people seem to be okay with.
it's already evident over the past few years that fewer and fewer people are sitting in the stands and coming to campus, even for important conference games.

They can't televise an SEC game ever week

Well since you're so smart......please explain why it changed after one cycle. Also please recall how much he bitched about it when he was here and had to play Ark on the short week.

Except for CBS loses money showing an sec game versus normal programming.

So has anyone figured out CBS' refusal to show more than 1 prime time game a season? I understand why CBS keeps putting LSU on at 230, I cannot figure out why they won't put these games on in prime time. Would ABC/ESPN play no. 1 @ no. 2 on at 230? Not if they could put it on during prime time. it's prime time for a fricking reason, the NFL allows for flex scheduling so they can put better late season games in prime time. why is CBS too stupid to realize this? Are they going to claim to get better ratings from whatever tv show replay or movie they show over what no. 1 @ no. 2 would bring in? who would believe that shite?

quote:yes, without a doubt. unquestionably.
you really think LSU has more people on campus that Alabama or florida
quote:not if you include the number of people who are just on campus tailgating
Georgia probably competes with us too
if you think it doesn't matter, ask brpd if it matters.

I want the AD to promise to continue to lobby on behalf of the tradition. And I want him to organize efforts on how we can prevent what happened this year from happening again, both through the fan base and his office. Simple.
He should lead instead of react. Tell us who to lobby.

IT'S IN THEIR CONTRACT, ESPN HAS A MONOPOLY ON ALL SATURDAY NIGHT GAMES.

Because nick fricking saban demanded it of course.

You can thank LSU for that. This year tailgating has been reduced all over campus. In the past I hosted tailgates for all home games rain or shine now only 4 tailgates this year. Next year who knows. Its getting to the point that I probably wont even be on campus for western kentucky and watch the game at home.

And this would be so absurd because? Look at the fit they throw everytime they propose stopping the annual UT-AL game.

The number of people who tailgate on campus is not the SEC's, nor CBS's problem

You make these statements as if you feel I should care about them...
But I'm the one that should calm down. Right?
I see I've taken you completely off the subject. The crack about your intelligence is obviously the type or kind that must really hit home and/or get under your skin.
Or maybe not.
Whatever the case, it caused you to completely overlook the fact that I agree with you on a basic level: nothing can be done right now.
You've also unfortunately overlooked the point I made. Which is completely my fault. I'll try not to take shots at your intelligence from here on out. Its obvious that only you're allowed to do that to people. Not the other way around.

If you really think nick saban controls CBS, then there is nothing else to say.
Good day sir

Your post makes no sense, I was responding to the guy who thought CBS could just show primetime games at their leisure.
