Defer and then sneak in an onside kick. That would be a great way to start the season.

But we could pull a Saban from the 09 NC game. Take the ball, offense stalls, and then fake a punt from our own territory!

i could not believe my eyes when i saw that shite. Only les can pull shite like that off.

This cant be a real question. Always defer. Gives you an opp to have a 2 for 1 at the end of 2nd, start of 3rd. Could be the difference in a 10-7 or 14-7 game to a 21-7 or 17-7.

Technically you defer. You don't pick to kick the ball.

Bradie James figured this out the hard way against Mississippi State in 2002.

I think id rather get the ball first for an away game. If you score quick maybe the crowd will shut up a little bit. I know that's a big if, but i think id hate dealing with loud crowds... the faster you get to a two score lead the better

Defer always...except in the rarest of occasions when you're in a really hostile environment and you have a legit offense...Take the ball and take the crowd out of the game early.

Other than that, always always kick.

Yeah, except for the fact that the crowd will be 70% LSU fans.

This would make sense from Oregon's point of view.

Which is why I said away game, not neutral game.

Yea, if Oregon wins the toss they'll take the ball, so I guess we win no matter what the coin says.
