re: #8 pick in NFL draft, 11 time pro bowler, 6 time first team all-pro, NFL Hall of Famer
Find an article from one of his players at A&M or Clemson talking about how great he was and how great their offense was.

In general we simply don’t have the inside information or knowledge to make educated predictions on new coaching hires. It’s been proven over and over

Slinger vs Cameron:

increased scoring from 21 points per game to 32 — scoring 38 or more in five of the eight games Ensminger called

increased yards per play from 5.7 to 7.1

"The reason this holds value is precisely that it doesn’t sit in a vacuum. Whether the offense should have been that good or not, 2016 LSU football team wasn’t going to put up those numbers under Cam Cameron. They weren’t even going to come close."

Slinger vs Canada:

"However, taking the point further regarding the 2016 offense versus better defenses, let’s use Bill Connelly’s opponent-adjusted advanced statistics:"

under Ensminger, LSU’s average offensive percentile performance — i.e., a measure of how well a unit performed compared to an average college offense, adjusted for defensive quality — increased from 41 percent to 73 percent. That means the Tigers improved from a unit that was barely in the top 60 percent of all 130 FBS teams to one that was in the top 30 percent.

LSU’s average offensive percentile under Matt Canada in 2017? 54 percent, with an S&P+ ranking of 42. In 2016, the Tigers finished 22nd in offensive S&P+, counting both Ensminger’s and Cameron’s games.

"There is no credible way to deny, at any level, that Ensminger improved LSU’s offense over his stretch of running it."

The propaganda machine WILL NOT BE STOPPED!

frick it, let's ride Ree. Which twitter accounts should I follow to copy and paste some fluff pieces like you do? Also, does Derek prefer to venmo the propaganda fees or does it need to be a little less obvious than that?

I heard drew brees likes his high school coach, I bet the nfl will hire him to be an offensive coordinator. Since a future hall of famer likes him that makes him qualified to be an offensive coordinator right?

And yet you, who have never played a down, seem to think that you are more qualified?

You don't see the absolute idiocy of this?

He didn’t make playbook in 2016.

He didn’t design the offense or run the spring camp. He just called plays.

And when running all over the other team wasn’t an option we didn’t do anything.

Except against the only 2 good defenses we played. But that's just more stuff for you to ignore.

Your only argument is "you've never played." Or "you've never coached." You've made the same argument in this thread three or four times and said nothing else. Until you come up with something more convincing than that there's no reason to listen to a word you say. It's a stupid response that means nothing.

Oh noooooo not the dreaded "Derek" reference!!! When all logic or intelligence fails, drag out the Derek reference.

Geeze when was the last time any of you had an original thought?

No doubt. Canada was a terrible hire and one of the many failures of Ed Orgeron.

If it was the last time that you did, probably awhile.

which two defenses were those?

Are you trying to sneak Florida's defense in or are you talking about another team with a good defense?

If trying to do the sneak you should go look at the box score and try not to be too surprised by what you see.

Says the guy that brings up playing or coaching experience in every thread as if it is a prerequisite to evaluating performance.

Good point. I mean if I were to judge someone or something, I would be foolish to listen to someone that has knowledge or experience in the matter and rely on some one whose only claim is that they have access to a keyboard.

That would be Florida and Bama where we amassed a whopping 10 points. I know what's coming--you're about to tell me about the 400+ yards we gained against Florida. I'm ready for ya.

I love How Ensminger is a genius and he fixed LSUs offense

Unless someone wants to talk about Alabama and then there was nothing he could do with the offense and it’s Les’s and Cameron’s fault.

Which is it?

How about we look at the play by play and y’all anout his we had 3 and goal at the 1 twice and went for it in forth down twice and got 0 points. 4 plays to get 1 yard and we got 0 touchdowns.

Explain to me the genius of the JD Moore run.

Now instead of some dreamed up bullshite, take a look at where LSU has ranked nationally in scoring. Cameron and Canada were both terrible due to Les/ Orgeron meddling. LSU has been held back by the lack of scoring and Ensminger is the answer? Hahaha
Ensminger has been terrible as a coordinator, and equally as terrible against decent defenses with a pulse as an interim. Could not score points against UF or BAMA, which is why he wasn't sure of himself after 2016. He gets credit for the lame rushing records from 2016, in which the same record was set the year before by Cameron (Impressive). Then people say that it wasn't his offense against the better teams. Whatever you need to fit your agenda. Bottom line is that he has failed much more than he has succeeded and it is insane to believe that it will all of the sudden change under the guidance of a bigger failure. They both should be very thankful that they were blessed with undeserving opportunities to set up their retirement. Something LSU is becoming known for.

We racked up a lot of yards but we were pathetic in the red zone in that game. Yards don't tell the whole story.

Listen to him all you want, learn from him, admire him, that's fine. But to say he's absolutely, "untouchably" correct just because he played is pretty worthless. Former players are going to say nice things about their old coaches if they had a good relationship with him. No matter how good or bad they were at their job.

Yes. I'm flattered that you remembered.

So tell me if you have never played how is it that you deem yourself qualified? I mean I'm sure that you learned all the nuances and technical ingredients of playing or coaching a sport in front of your big screen tv.
Sort of like being qualified to fly a jet by playing video pilot games? Is that how it works?
