I was at the games and KU just knock the hell out of the ball, they also do not swing at bad pitches.Whats not being said is there top hitter did not even play he was hurt. What I hear is PM is really on his teams arse.Maybe he needs to let up and let the kids play. He has made promise's to two kids that third was theres and after one er sat them down. The talent is there just let the kids play.

Okay, Kansas outplayed LSU this weekend. Its still March, so its still early. Our ace pitcher is out. Its really not a big deal that we lost, I actually kind of predicted it in an earlier thread.

Big Cat has made many posts about the 3rd base position. Seems like he has an axe to grind. So Coach Maineri is challenging his team? That's what he needs to do so that when real pressure, SEC and tournament time, comes around, the players will have proven that they can handle it. Now Big Cat is complaining that Coach Maineri promised two players the 3rd base spot? I doubt it. If Coach Maineri showed anything last year, he showed that if you aren't getting the job done, he will make changes. And we all know that his drastic lineup manuevers (yes drastic, he moved two high round draft picks out of their position to play a true freshman) spurred the Tigers on to the national title.

IMO, Mainieri and Tigers have a really legit shot at winning the CWS every other year. It's cyclical. We have an outflow of talent one year and an inflow of young talent needing a year to gel w/ the Otts, Ross's, Hanovers, Matooks and Nolas of the team b4 they put it all together and make a run at the title. I'm thinking in 2011.

So whats the deal?
There are no Coleman/AR legitimate 1 & 2 weekend starters on the team right now, that is the deal. Someone might round into a 2, but at this rate we might still be waiting on Ross to improve by the time he is 30 YO. I don't understand Bradshaw, either, that guy can be lights out or way below average. I bet it drives PM more crazy than the fans, though.

timely hitting and starting pitching.

we lost the last series before SEC play last year and look how things turned out. Maybe the team needed to lose a few to get them back focused.

The problem is what I wrote is fact and you can't handle the truth so sit back and just make fun of other poster. I not upset about losing we will come back. But things being told to the delatts dider and dozar's is bull shite. AND THATS A FACT

kansas hit everything that was thrown at them. they were a very good all around hitting team. can't take anything away from them in that aspect. we had our opportunities friday and sunday, but we stranded too many people on base. sunday we'd get 2 runners on with no outs, and couldn't push them across.

Looks like some of the players can't handle the truth that they have had all fall and preseason practice to earn a spot on the field and they haven't done it yet. Then, when given a chance, they have booted balls, bounced routine throws to first base (even though Dean dug it out and made a game ending throw to 3B), and then didn't hit when in the lineup.
If they produce when in the game, they will play!!! It's that simple. Don't give me "But the other guy...." because the other guy won the spot with a better fall and preseason practice. Let me reiterate, if they only get in the lineup for one game, and they field 3 ground balls cleanly, and go 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, they will get a 2nd game. Go 0 for 4 with 1 error and another poor throw, and you might not get another shot.
