And while Miller was playing well in practices before getting hurt, he is still recovering from a major injury and may not return to that form until late next season or the year after.
this isn’t 1975

Ripped some tape on Williams, and I think sec athleticism is going to give him some issues but I hope he can be a stretch 4 guy.
His best strength seems to be his jump shooting. Kind of has a lamarcus Aldridge game to him. Not a banger, not overly physical even in a mid league. I’d be surprised if he was any taller than 6’8”.
All that said, having a 5th yr guy who has played in 130 games will be valuable. You might get a team captain who can get you 12pt 6reb & hopefully be closer to 40% 3pt like his Jr year

12 points a game is nothing to scoff at. What did Days average last year? Like 13-14?

Murray State made it to the second week of the tournament and played well.I can only imagine with the recruits coming in and what we have coming back if you add Miller to that mix we could easily be a sweet 16 Elite 8 team without question

Good luck with that.
Totally agree. He'll I think be under the mistaken impression it's safe to come back here. If and when he does I don't think it will be pretty. I for one will not be hospitable - his hypocrisy has earned him consequences with me and I don't think I'm the only one.

Murray State coach and players may get to Final Four now wearing purple and gold.
Posted on 5/6/22 at 6:53 am to LSUTigers_00
He’s already played 4 years at Murray so just how many years can he play?

I appreciate your sarcasm as a fellow sarcasiast.
While not a final four team, it’s pretty exciting that our new coach has built a tournament caliber roster in month from literally nothing while dealing with the black cloud left over the program by the possible looming sanctions.
Very impressive if you look at objectively. Hell, even the national pundits are impressed.

Huge get. I really like him as a player and think our roster has really ended up a lot better than I anticipated.

To get the amount of guys he’s gotten for the situation, is pretty impressive.

I would bet he will average around 15pts a game. If we don’t get Miller or pick up a big time scoring guard I think he will average 15-16 maybe more

Do you mean David West? Mark West was pretty much just a rim protector, defensive guy.

Having Reed’s ability to stretch the floor and Coleman’s speed on the side of Williams is gonna create space for him to operate. I do think you’re right about going up against the athletic bigs in the SEC zapping some of his advantages he had at Murray but the talent around him should free him up and his experience coupled with the familiarity in the system and with the guards from his former team is gonna make it easier on him. His numbers should be sustainable, remember North Carolina was the other school who wanted him so he’s a better player than you’re giving him credit for.

No doubt KJ averages more than 12 per game next year.
Posted on 5/6/22 at 8:53 am to SoloTiger
Last year he went up against 3 SEC level opponents, Tennessee, Auburn and Memphis. He averaged 11.7ppg and 7rpg in those 3 games. Those were all very good teams so it stands to reason he could put up even better numbers vs the lower SEC schools and in the non conference.

What’s the tape telling you king ?
A lot of high majors are attempting to supplement roster holes with mid majors. It’s up to you to determine what that means because on the surface means very little
