I’m looking at pregame.com right now. The split is 53% of bet tickets/47% of cash on Miami. This whole thread is awful

I'm pretty impressed that LSU has kept the spread so low. How many other #25 vs #8 games on a neutral field would see such a small spread?

Tend to agree. 82% of the money should move the line.

If 55% of the bets and 82% of the total money is actually on Miami and the line hasn't moved, then that makes me think Vegas believes LSU will win. You would think with that much of a Miami lean, the line would have moved considerably by now, but I feel like it's been stagnant as -3 since it opened. My guess is that those numbers aren't accurate.

THATS A BINGO

A lot of the times, they don't want even money on both sides.

Vegas wants equal amounts bet on each team. If 82% is on Miami, spread should move to give LSU additional point(s).

That's one of the oldest tales there is. Somebody said 50/50 one day and Vegas wins juice...and people just repeated it. That's not true. I've got a good friend that is sports book manager....it just isn't true.

Just curious, where is this info open to the public? I do not bet, so I am genuinely curious.

I'm putting money on the ML when that line comes out 24 hours before. Why take the +2.5-3.5 whenever LSU is gonna win by more or no realistic shot the game is that close.

"sharp" $ does typically come in late.

You can usually see how the line moves right before kickoff to see which way the "sharps" are leaning.

I just don't know what to expect for LSU offensively.

Therefore I'm taking the under, and I expect to profit.

Looks like the sharp money is on miami

We really won't know until we see how the line shifts the week of the game.

It’s on pregame.com and the OP’s post is incorrect. It’s 53/47 Miami bet tickets/cash and you’re all responding to and discussing inaccurate information

Good, Vegas makes its money off people getting it wrong. General public is stupid so that works to our favor if thats where the money is being laid down!

It actually looks like the general public is betting on LSU. I agree they are generally stupid, but I don’t think so in this case. Geaux Tigers!
