50 colleges, dozens of players and coaches named, but ours are the ONLY ONES sitting?

NOT ONE OTHER COACH? NOT ONE OTHER PLAYER ANNOUNCED AS "SITTING DUE TO AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION"? No, just us?

How can we change this narrative? We know our AD isn't gonna speak up; what other access to media do we have? How can we get any of the talking heads discussing how blatantly unfair this is?

How do we get somebody on media to point out that CBS Sports has deleted their webpage with the article titled "LINK ; ? (that link takes you to a page with that address, but a box announcing "this article has been deleted")
How do we get someone to speak up and point out ALL of these other coaches are still coaching, and ALL of these other players implicated are still playing?

I CANNOT understand how pointing out that no other players have been benched would be a bad look for LSU. Either you let Smart play, or you sit Zion, Balsa, Ayton, etc., every damn one of them whose name is mentioned - isn't the whole fiasco SUPPOSED to be about "fair play"?

Kansas had players that were never cleared to play - both Preston and De Souza

Auburn had players that missed games as well - Wiley and can't remember the other one

Sexton at Bama missed one game

Bagley at Duke had already gone pro when it all came out, same with Adebayo at Kentucky

This is two years old. Players have been suspended, assistant coaches have been fired and arrested, and head coaches have been fired.

its 2019. You can literally search anything you want on the internet. It's all on there

Yeah, that players named in this have sat out games waiting for word from NCAA has already been fairly standard.

I think all the coaches' who have been on the tapes have all been suspended or fired so far when there are seemingly direct quotes from them and not just trial testimony that claims they did something or reports without direct quotes.

I would imagine Smart is reinstated "pending further NCAA investigation" like a lot of other players soon since there's not yet any evidence his handlers accepted the offer, he knew about etc etc. . .

Wade is a completely different case since, if those direct quotes are verifiable, just talking about making an offer is already a serious NCAA violation.

In the words of Alleva, we run a clean program, you know.

The only slight hiccup is that there's still not 100% evidence that the offer included impermissible benefits. Obviously I'm well aware that it's extremely extremely extremely likely based on context that it did include impermissible benefits.

But Self's text messages and Miller's call were, if anything, even more damning than Wade's and they are both still coaching. I think if Miller and Self were suspended/fired the very very slim leg a lot of us fans are standing on would be gone.

If something fails to make sense on the surface/at face value then pull back the curtain at that is where agendas tend to hide. Self interest, no matter how noble one believes, is very destructive

This is 100% accurate. No way around it WW will almost have to help blow this whole thing up, or he'll never coach D1 again. I do hope Smart can confirm that he never knew any of this even went on.

Tough Tough spot to be in when the only way to get to many of the top prospects is through bribing/embezzling middle-men.

If I'm Alleva, I let Wade and Smart sit for the short term future and do whatever I can to substantiate the claims in the report. Whether that's 2 days or 2 weeks or right before the NCAA tournament. If nothing is found as actual evidence and documented proof, then contact the NCAA and use the compliance office as well.

Then, I release a statement saying something like this...

"Due to the recent media reports involving Will Wade we at LSU took preventive measures while we attempted to validate these claims with documented proof and have been unable to obtain this proof. After fully cooperating with the SEC and the NCAA we have decided to allow Will Wade and Javonte Smart to being participating with the basketball program immediately. We find that our actions have gone above and beyond what has been consistent with other major programs around the country. We will continue to fully support our coaches until such time that something of substance is produced that proves that we should take a different course of action."

F. King is a Kentucky native and his daughter is a student at UK. Is F. King a closet UK fan looking to destroy our program on his way out?

Wait, so if Wade tells all, he may get a less severe sentence, or if he refuses to tell, he gets a harsher sentence, but either way his career has just taken a drastic change? What would stop him from a tell all book from the inside that dismantles the entire system? Why wouldn't he take down the NCAA? Wouldn't it be in their best interest to not be too hard on him, but encourage corrections to be made throughout the system?

1000%. Unless they give you the actual FBI authenticated transcript then this is exactly the course of action the administration should take.

Here's the link: Kansas assistant caught on wiretap

WOW...apparently within the last hour, CBS has "un-deleted" it... this link was in another Rant thread, a couple of days ago, and directed one to a page w/ a box saying "this article has been deleted"... the fact that it was deleted was discussed in the thread. I had the page left open in my browser, w/ the "this article has been deleted" box still displayed...
About an hour ago, I posted the link in a FB thread, and it re-directed to the CBS main page. Now, the page is back up...maybe CBS caught some grief for sucking up to Duke and deleting it, and put the page back up? Pretty suspicious, and evidence the media is definitely aware of and complicit in controlling the narrative...
