Bring Wade back???? Lets bring Daddy Dale back. He recruited some amazing players and got us to the final 4. He also hated the NCAA and wasnt scared to say so.

Hell I'll take Brady. At least he might not die during a next season.

Can't believe they kept challenging him inside

At what point do you just give up on the inside game?

There was a time where we had Stanley Roberts and shaq And Chris Jackson and Gerald Griggs and Vernal Singleton etc. Three of the starters probably needed to be double teamed every time they touch the ball and we still couldn't win a championship. There was a tournament game where Brian Oliver Dennis Scott and Kenny Anderson of Georgia Tech beat us when Chris Jackson had the flu I believe.

He was really athletic. I still think the LMU game was one of if not the best CBB games of all time.

Pretty damned cool.

My kids: wow, he really did block shots into the crowd

All I know is watching old vids of Shaq and Chris Jackson doesn't seem to do it justice as having seen it in real life.

The way the referees usually treated Shaq is the reason I stopped watching basketball. Some games they would call fouls on him because he caught the ball inside. It was horrible. His stats are great but should have been 40% higher if not for biased and crooked refs.

What a game!-- and what a player!

Shaq was a beast. I still can't believe we didn't have a championship back when he was a Tiger. In fact, we never advanced... past the second round of the tourney in his era.

Back when LSU MBB was both fun, and meaningful. Imagine this: 10 straight years of dancing, from 1983-84 to 1992-93-- and that doesn't even include the greatest LSU team ever, the Final Four club of 1980-81: Howard Carter, the "Cookie Man", Willie Sims, Ethan Martin, Rudy Macklin, Leonard Mitchell, et al. I think Dwayne "Astronaut" Scales had graduated by that time.

The nostalgia .. is making me queasy
