Mentioned on OTB this morning... 5 2/3 is the total innings thrown by our two starting pitchers in the Super Regional.

It's very tough to win at this level when that's the amount of production you are getting from your starting pitching.

Our bullpen - as a group and individually - has been feast or famine all year long. And that was the case this weekend as well.

Even if LSU would have made Omaha, you are not going to be successful in Omaha piecing it together.
Henry out would have been devastating.

I’m disappointed LSU baseball couldn’t even muster a rally over 4 innings of “season on the line” baseball at Alex Box Stadium.

Yup. Marceaux, and then what? And I'm not sure Marceaux is healthy.

If we have all this arm soreness, I sure hope these guys skip summer ball.

Do you know how many pitchers played summer ball last season? And how many were scheduled to this summer?

3 and 2. It's not the summer ball that's the issue.

Pitchers don’t throw but a handful of innings during summer ball, if any

So why did PM pull Marceaux? He only threw 69 pitches and 3 of his runs would've been negated if the catcher applies a tag without dropping the ball.

Marceaux was obviously struggling and based on the result it was the right call to get him out.
