Well that's just not true.

ETA: Let me rephrase, it's true now due to all the tickets they could access being gone, but they had access to tickets (at their cost, not even face) several weeks ago.

Sellers exercising their option to sell - at any price they see fit - and acknowledging the perils thereof is no concern of the buyers who likewise exercise their option not to buy. Guilt trips don't get much mileage anymore.

I know, they just have a ton of connections with the Superdome folks and ticket office folks. He got 4 really good lower bowl face value tickets out of this, but they are for him and his sons. He couldn't get anymore.

See above. He just couldn't get more than 4.

If you want to be one of those 4,000 tickets.... just head down to NOLA and buy them 45min before kickoff.

The tickets will move down in price if they don't sell by Saturday, just watch. I guarantee you that those remaining tickets will be sold to LSU fans bc of the proximity and the availability to just up and buy the tickets a day or two before the game and simply drive to the game. Those tickets will be LSU fans, no matter what they end up selling them for. Clemson won't sell many more tickets then they already have. It's getting too close to game day for them to all of a sudden just decide to buy tickets and travel on such short notice. Geaux Fightin' Tigers.

In 2007 (when face value was ~$200/ticket), about 10 minutes AFTER kickoff some guy outside the dome tried to sell me nosebleed tix for $700 each.

If you're willing to miss kickoff, but catch 95 percent of the game, you'll be able to get them outside of the Dome once the game starts. Just be careful and confirm they are real tickets.

I have a feeling tickets may jump up Sunday/Monday since there's so many LSU fans still looking to buy them who will be desperate.

Also keep checking the ticket exchange board here and on Clemson's message board. There are some reasonable deals out there, you just have to jump quickly.

Who actually has physical tickets? Didn’t the schools distribute them electronically?

Not gonna tell you how to spend your money but I'm not missing this one because of my own stubborn view of what the market should be.

If the going rate to get in is 1100-1200, that's what I'm gonna have to do.

Sucks, but that's the reality.

There's a pair of aisle seats on the ticket exchange right now for $950 per. It's only gonna get cheaper.
