I think Roy, Logan and Farrell fit at SDE.

Logan does not for sure
Farrell would need to lose at least 20#

Roy and Taylor do for sure

I think Webb and Ojulari will be fine. They are both going to enter college more than 220lbs. That’s already bigger than Keke Mingo and freshman Arden Key started off, and they both had good seasons in a 4-3.

Could Marcel Brooks play the middle? I’m looking for that next Deion “Debo” Jones who was undersized as well, yet found a system that allows him to flourish in the NFL.

Put Burch as a starter at SDE. Poor quarterbacks...

I dont The the hire but there are gonna be some awkward fits.

If you go back and look at LSU under Pelini he’s doesn’t really use a lot of 330+ lb DTs. He also doesn’t use a lot of sub 250 DEs.

Now, Hunter is the prototype NFL 4-3 DE, and came in at 220. BJ Ojulari and Webb both need to bulk way up to be DEs.

As to the NTs, do some of y’all have something against a pass rush? I love Logan, and Ika, but two of them on the field at the same time of too much.

Add Logan or Farrell at SDE? Terrible idea.

Debo made his name as a Will Linebacker flying around. We all know Brooks’ speed is his biggest attribute, and I believe he could be similar to Debo in that way. It’s going to be tough to get to the 2nd-level when dealing with big 72 and 62. Lining Brooks up to pass rush on third downs will just be the icing on the cake. This is the best way to unlock his full potential, in my opinion.

love the idea of Shelvin and Ika being out there together taking up 4 OLs together.

Been saying this all year.

Imagine a line of Logan, Shelvin, Ika, Farrell

Just because Debo played less spread offenses doesn’t mean he’s not the prototypical linebacker for today’s game. Just look at draft boards. Patrick Queen’s speed is the main reason he is going to get drafted HIGH. You need speed against the spread. Brooks at linebacker will offer more than enough of that.

I just don’t see us playing much true 4-3 next year. We’re going to see 4-2-5 as our most common package just due to the offenses in the SEC this year

Ed Oregon is very clear about his plan: The plan is for LSU to become more aggressive defensively by getting pressure on the quarterback. Ed O isn’t about to sit back, play coverage and rush three. We have Stingley for 2 more years, and Dave Aranda used to say that Flott looked like LSU’s best corner at times. LSU is going to take advantage of that and get pressure on the quarterback.

Who is going to rush the passer from DE? I just don't see how the 4-3 would work against any QB with a pulse. Yes we will stop the run, but it's not 2007 anymore.

Who says only speed rushers can get sacks? Those 4 monsters bull rushing at once... yikes.

Obviously it would be a special package but still. Hard to throw the ball when your Oline is being pushed right into your face.

You should look at a nickel as the base defense. That's more of what they will run the majority of the time.

I’m pretty sure we’re still gonna play some 3 man fronts. We will need to.

LOL at y’all idiots thinking you have a clue what Pelinis going to do with all this talent. He’s stepped into a dream scenario and will destroy offenses just like he has his whole life. Don’t worry about what he’s going to do, I promise O and Pelini will have it figured out.
