4-3 Depth Chart Outlook

I decided to write out an outlook on what a 4-3 base defense would look like. Of course, LSU won’t be in base a lot due to the increase in spread offenses, but here’s a general look of how I see it, with some interesting position changes.
4-3 starters
WDE- Anthony, Ojulari, Webb, Thornton, Moore, Little
DT- Logan, Farrell, Roy, Taylor, Evans
DT - Shelvin , ApU, Gulliory , Jenkins
SDE - (Justin Thomas, if he returns), Ali Gaye, Jerrell Cherry, Soni Fonua, McKlendon, Ray Parker
LOLB- Jacoby Stevens, Marcel Brooks, Josh White
MLB- Damone Clark, Sampah
ROLB- Micah Baskerville, Donte Starks,
CB- Stingley, Ward, Mcglothern
CB- Flott, Ricks, Jones
FS- Kary Vincent, Todd Harris, Lewis
SS- Mo Hampton, Monroe, Toles
A couple notes: 1) If Thomas doesn’t return, I believe Farrell will shed 15 pounds and move to strong-side defensive end. 2) This is strictly base, so I didn’t include nickel. In a Nickel defense, I believe Baskerville comes off the field and Harris becomes the extra defensive back, with Vincent playing in the slot.

I think Roy, Logan and Farrell fit at SDE.

I love the idea of Shelvin and Ika being out there together taking up 4 OLs together.
That frees up a lot of dudes.

I definitely see Flott rotating in at S as well.
Brooks is closer to a DE than a LB

That DL is deep and talented.

Anthony won't start. Got to get Brooks in there. Ray Parker may surprise, Cherry too. Farrell, Roy at DE

Yeah I see this in the middle (and some others):
DT: Shelvin, Evans
DT Ika, Guillory

Look how much more depth we have compared to just a few years ago.

Marcel Brooks is 6’2 not even 200 pounds. How in the hell is that a DE? Hell he is almost too light to be a LB

What?

Roy and Farrell at SDE does sound. Roy has a Tyson Jackson-like frame. The best way to affect the quarterback in today’s football is by getting pressure up the middle. I guess that’s why I slotted those guys in the middle. The ability to rotate them will be beneficial.

Hate the thought of Webb and BJ being wasted as 4-3 ends

Me as I’m looking at all that Dline talent
