They wouldn't and they shouldn't.

Now consider that scenario, except that we actually lost to Tennessee, and I don't think the SEC champ bump is going to put us over them, regardless of how it offends our collective sense of justice. I think for our mental state it would be better to focus on passing other teams.

By your logic, what would the basis be to put Georgia in over SEC champion LSU if head-to-head is the main criterion and we just beat them? I we win the SECCG, we will get in over Tennessee if we beat Georgia in the SECCG.

I said this last week and got downvoted just as much as you are. I think what would have to happen is that the loser of the Michigan Ohio State game get blown out, TCU’s loss not be a coinflip type of outcome, and USC needs to lose to eliminate the possibility of jumping Tenn. Then the committee will really have no choice

1) OSU-UofM loser drops behind LSU (probable)

I don’t think this is probable at all. LSU would only subsequently make the CFP on the strength of having a conference title. In that scenario, they would displace Tennessee, not the OSU/Michigan loser. While Tennessee would have a strong argument relative to the OSU/Michigan loser, it’s not so strong that the committee would be willing to stand up against the blowback that would come from putting 3 SEC teams in.

Who is TCU going to lose to? Definitely not Baylor or Iowa State. B12 Championship is the toughest game they have left and we don't even know who they will be playing yet. Either way, they shouldn't lose that game, but it is the best possibility.

Then the odds of LSU beating Georgia are extremely slim. While we would all love to see it happen, lets be honest with ourselves.

Bottom line is I have a better chance of landing a date with Tom Brady's ex wife than there is of getting 3 SEC teams in the playoffs.

After Saturday though, I'm not sure TCU loses a B12 game.

Aranda will come through for us.

Can you imagine if Michigan beats OSU and then loses Big 10 championship? Three SEC teams in isn't out of the realm.

Why you said isn’t logical dumb frick. If there was no possibility to jump Tennessee then they wouldn’t slot LSU one spot behind Tennessee. They’d give themselves leeway and hold lsu back for the inevitable “I told ya so.” That we are one spot behind Tennessee is the committee prepping themselves to leap us over them with one more quality win. This has been seen before

First of all, I NEVER said it wasn't possible. I said I don't see it happening. Why? I already listed three different strong reasons why.

And did you ignore my historical reference to a 2 loss Big Ten champ Penn State being left out in favor of a 1 loss Ohio State, who's loss WAS to Penn State? You still think there is no logic in what I said?

Good grief, man. Try a little harder.

It's not my logic, it's the committee's. They have left out conference champions and put in a team from that same conference before. Georgia's body of work is immensely stronger than ours at this point. I'm not telling you what I think SHOULD happen, I'm going by what I think the committee would do. Unless we blow out Georgia, I'm not confident we'd jump them. It could happen, but I don't trust it.
