I said this earlier, but vs Florida in '16, they lost the game, didn't score a lot of points and IMO, it's because they got conservative in crunch time.

Say what you will about Jimbo Fisher but that dude is making history.

He had a losing conference record at 3-5.
He had a losing overall record at 5-6.
He lost to Boston College by 32 points 35-3.

Just over a month after the BC loss he was hired as the second highest paid coach in college football. That is f'king amazing.

There's a sucker born every minute; some eventually become athletic director at A&M.

I'm surprised Ree cited Aranda as a positive, since he was a very vocal proponent of Aranda being a bad DC when the A&M offer was in play.

He really should not have been in a position to blow that game.

I hope Ensminger blows it away but I can't seem to forget that he was the OC that took a rank A&M team into Cajun Field and proceeded to lose to USL.
Jesus man, that was not the only time that has ever happened to a coach or team. Do you still dwell on UAB for LSU and ULM for bama and who the coach was for those games?

I recall them and think of those as an example of the kind of hiccups you have in year 1 and what can happen and how to move forward from them. Neither of those losses were by a team that was ranked and came into the season with expectations of competing for a top 10 spot and possible a #1 ranking. A&M had that, It was Ensminger's third season as OC and they woefully under performed with the USL loss knocking them out of the ranking, them going on to a 6-6 season, and Ensminger losing his OC job.

I have a lot of respect for Ensminger but not necessarily as an OC. As I recall, his offenses were up and down when he was an OC, though that could be wrong, I just don't recall precisely and I also seem to recall he had a few very successful offenses as well.

Here's hoping this time he nails it and keeos it going long term.

Had nothing to do with the A&M interest. I had stated it before and after A&M. The Miss St and Troy losses were on the WHOLE team including the defense.

Questioning why LSU gave up more points to Troy than Auburn and the same amount as NC winning Alabama is not calling him a bad DC.

Orgeron is the head coach. No reason for optimism. Sorry. None.

LSU had virtually no DL available for that game. Neil Ferrell played significant time in that game and I don't think he ever saw the field again once we got healthy.

Do you realize that what it means to lose to TROY at home... There is NT one player [before the game was played] That was even recruited by LSU????

We should heve beaten them by 30 even if I were coaching............

We will have an excellent defense. Our offense will be good, but we won’t outcoach anybody. It will be just like a Les Miles team.

Watch out the terminally miserable will twist this into the idea that you are making excuses for Coach Eaux.

That's the only reason I bring it up. They love Aranda and want to blame the loss on Eaux. It's funny because the haters are so stupid they don't realize that when they are making excuses for Aranda they are also making excuses for Eaux. It's easy to play the idiots on this board.

I don't care about these idiots. This is the same group arguing that Canada outsmarted LSU by taking half of what he was contractually owed.

There are probably quite a few teams that don't have 1 player that was recruited by LSU. If that is even what you are trying to say.

So you are saying you are a better DC than Dave Aranda and a better OC than Matt Canada. Well congrats Coach Dukke V. I had no idea you were better than the highest paid DC in college football and a Broyles Award Candidate at OC. I'm impressed.

FIFY-- Insert any head coach in the blank. Only a few have in the last 5 years.

I kind of doubt LSU will watch the clock run to zero while they are inside the five yard line trying to score a game winning TD. So NO, it will not be just like a LM coached team.

Please tell US ALL your wisdom on how this happened.............

THE BEST REASON FOR OPTIMISM.

1. Miles was fired.

2. When in doubt see rule NO1.
