And you clowns are saying we’re the WORST LSU team ever. I’m not saying we’re world beaters, but you don’t lose Crews, Skenes, Beloso, Morgan, Thompson, Money, Cooper, Stevenson, Floyd, Jobert, and your pitching coach and expect to repeat a natty.

Come on guys get a grip on reality. We couldn’t possibly be as good as last year with the above names moving on. Did we lose 4 straight series to some really good teams and need get better? Of course. But saying this is the worst team ever and shitting all over them, while saying the coach sucks is asinine.

It isn’t so much that we are losing, it’s how we are losing.

Yep I agree. This club hopefully will win 14 or 15 sec games and play well in the sec tournament and make a regional and hopefully be much improved and get hot.

This. I figured this would be an issue early on and we would rally later when the schedule lightens up. But I expected our pitching to be much more competitive and show more signs of life. Their performance so far does not make me feel optimistic about the second half of our season any longer

Even if we’re 4 & 11 after Tennessee, perhaps we can go 10 & 5 thereafter. 14 & 16 will get us to the sec tournament I do believe. Then winning a few there would really help us upon regionals.

LSU has never lost the first 4 SEC series of the year. Ever. This is the first time. And it going to be the first 5 series after next weekend.

Yes, but then the final 5 series will be easier.

I hope you’re right. But you are mad that people are saying this is one of the worst LSU teams and up until this point, they kind of are. They are literally doing things that no other LSU team has done.

I can’t disagree with any of y’all. This damn sure is horrific. The OP here I mostly agree with his post, but I’m not mad with the people complaining. Hell I’m bitching bigtime too. Our group text me and my boys burned it up today! But I’m not going to give up. I’m rooting for 14 or 15 wins, a nice showing in the sec tournament, a regional berth, be hot, make a super, then we’ll see if we’re hot enough.

Let’s just hope the last 5 series will be “easier enough.” LOL Otherwise we’ll be extremely lucky to go 10 & 20. That’d be a complete LSU disaster!

What happens when White, Trav, Bingham, Millazzo all leave? This team is going to suck next year also. Jay is not the guy you thought he was

Have they ever gone up against the 1, 6, 7, and 23rd teams in the country 4 series straight?

Moo State - 2021 natty
Vandy - 2019 natty 2014 natty
Florida - 2017 natty
Arkansas is #1 currently.

You have got to look at competition before you start sayin stuff like that.

I’m not “mad” at anyone saying LSU sucks, I’m used to tRant and its reactions. I just think it’s short sighted to not put things in perspective.

The above natty winners have had several seasons to retool and rebuild to get where they are yet somehow we expect LSU to be different? Knowing what we lost to attrition? Come on man, if you didn’t expect LSU to regress this year and struggle then you weren’t paying attention.

It’s very possible. Tennessee started season off 5-10 in SEC play, and all of sudden got on a run that landed them in Omaha. While it wasn’t the ending the Vols wanted, but they are living proof a good coach can take a team that lost a lot a year prior, to Omaha after starting 5-10 in the SEC. Good luck to the Tigahs!

Ole JJ ain’t Vitello. This season isn’t ending in Omaha.

The 1, 6, 7, and 23 is irrelevant... 3-9 is what's meaningful here.

No one will argue that LSU is not playing good baseball now.
