I watched it again last night.

I'm going to share something - after the Texas game - certainly I had a lot of anxiety when games were close (Auburn, especially), but I never had any sincere doubt we would lose any game, especially Bama once the clock hit 0:00 at the end of the first half.

I didn't "expect", I wasn't "confident", I just sort of knew we were going to win every game after Texas.

I don't know how I knew and the anxiety (again, mainly against Auburn and Bama) belies that, certainly, but even when we got down against Clemson - that one I was even more confident than before.

This team, this coach, this QB, this defense - at least THIS year, were unbeatable and it was obvious fairly early. However many plays the other team was going to make, we were going to make at least one more (if not 20 more).

Love the rehashes.

Tribute to Clyde:
His strength and determination was on display the whole game. But, the run for the 1st was strength and determination. His run for the TD, in which he ran through several defenders broke them.

His spin move for the TD to the left was breathtaking. The only thing that would have made it better, would have been if Moses would have been embarrassed again like in the recruiting camp video.

I was buzzed by halfway through the 3rd. I think this was my favorite game of the season. The Nat was great don’t get me wrong. But this was such a symbolic win. Once we won this we all knew it was a downhill coast to the playoffs. CEO knew it too.

I was fricking blackout I don’t even remember the end of the Nat. I had to ask my friend and gf a million times if we actually won. And had to look at the score on espn.com for like 20 minutes to convince myself I didn’t hallucinate the entire season.

Clyde was a beast, the difficult catch and struggling for the first down, the spin move and then sprint to the left for a td, the touchdown where he ran over the defender as they tried to strip the ball for a td. and then the game clincher running up the middle on first down for 11 yards dragging several players with him. Awesome...………. Then hearing Gary Danielson saying "that's it" indicating game was over..

As impressive as Burrow was all season (and especially after the Bama game) and all the gaudy single game records both Burrow and the receivers had, #RollClyde was equally impressive - up there with Justin Vincent (Sugar Bowl) and Kevin Faulk (Houston) as far as an individual running back willing the team to win/refusing to lose.

at 5'8" - maybe in cleats standing on a dictionary - ETA: That spin still looks photoshopped - which is pretty nasty when you think about it

On Clyde's last TD ...After Diggs goes for the strip...check out Chase chip block on #35 Shane Lee.

The shoe string catch on 3rd & 10 was as big as any!

The 2 defining plays of the season were the 3rd and 17 Burrow to Jefferson TD in Austin and the 3rd and 10 CEH conversion at Bama. The Tigers would still likely have won in Austin but I'm convinced that Bama wins if they get a stop there.

What will always stick out about the Bama game to me is the battle of the #22s. For all of the Burrow / Tua hype, CEH and Najee Harris absolutely dominated that game.

My favorite play of the season. Ok maybe a tie for #1 with Burrow to Jefferson on 3rd and 17 in Austin.

Those two plays were so good we sometimes forget about the play in the SECG vs Georgia. The one where he escapes the rush, rolls right and flicks it to Jefferson before he steps out of bounds. That play is every bit as good as the two you mentioned.

On CEH's spin for the td, that was actually the perfect call on defense by Bama. The blitzer was in perfect position. Until CEH magically disappeared.

I noticed during the instant replay during the game.

No one could have watched all elements of Chase's game and believed he was anything other than a starting NFL receiver (a very good one at that), playing on a college team against college defenders. As a true sophomore.

That 1 little chip - a "hip check" they would call it in hockey ( ) - was just 1 of hundreds of little things that Chase (and, for that matter Jefferson, Marshall, Moss, CEH and reserves when they were called on) did to help make plays that registered no stat for him whatsoever.

To me, I always had this fear that Bama was going to ruin our season again. I was excited about our team but had to see us beat Bama...that first drive and TD to Chase was huge to me...I can still remember the relief and excitement I felt. When we beat Bama, the only team I was worried about was Ohio st...I thought they would have been our next toughest test. When we missed them, I was pretty confident.

I was so confident against GA and OK...I could see no scenario where we lost to either of these teams.

Great collection of GIFs!

I agree with you that, despite the big attention he did get, he still kind of got lost in the national hype mix. He had 4 GD TDs against Bama alone!

On almost any other team, he gets an invite to NY for the Heisman.

I will say that the announcers of the games seemed to really have a respect and affection for him. Gary in particular couldn't gush enough. After the receiving TD right before half at Bama, Gary admonished the audience to accept it as obvious that Clyde was going to be good in the NFL.
