29 seconds
A mediocre high school coach would have enough sense to call a time out. Reason clm gave for no time out was go for block. Let clock run down to 3 sec. Insanity. At least he owned up to it. Geaux tigers.

A guy who 9 short years ago was a mediocre hs coach won last night

What good would calling a time out have served?

A couple of chances to get to opposing 40 and at least a shot for a tie.

I guess that guy missed North Carolina going 50 yards in 13 seconds at the end of the game Thursday night.

the les miles defenders are complete fricking retards and full of excuses. its fricking pathetic that they are too dumb to understand what calling a timeout when we should have would have done for us.

1. obj is a hell of a return man, so we have 23 seconds or so left for him to attempt a kick return.
a decent return and we have say 14 seconds left. quick slant over the middle get first down stops clock and then hail mary.

yes very small chance of winning it but better than playing river city miracle/ the band is on the field hoping to win that way.

les miles and his supporters are full of retard excuses

Yeah, anything can happen. That may have been the most disappointing part of the game. Not motivational issues, poor performances....a simple technical decision that was easy to make. I just don't know man.

I mean, we won with the Bluegrass Miracle once, so our fan base more than any should understand what is possible with just a few seconds left. And tying this wouldn't have taken near that sort of miracle. It just would have taken a good pass or two and a FG. When teams play prevent at the end, sometimes it just takes one good pass if you have guys that can run like ours. It would not have taken a miracle at all...

There should be no doubt why you love Les Miles so much. You are as clueless as your hero is.

The fact that you are asking this question is proof that your opinions regarding Les Miles and LSU football should be completely disregarded.

I watched the game at a bar with 2 other couples last night. All 3 of the wives knew immediately that a timeout should have been called following that 3rd down play, and all 3 were yelling at the TV wondering why our Head Football Coach has yet to grasp even the most basic concepts of game management. When the wives know better than the $4 million dollar man coaching the game they are watching, it is truly a sad state of affairs.

There is no excuse for not calling that timeout. NONE.

That Les routinely fails to understand the very basic concepts of managing a football game is impossible for me to fathom. It absolutely blows my mind that he has the record he does. We aren't talking quantum physics, here. It's f'n football for God sakes. Come on, Les ..... how can you be this stupid?

Too bad LSU doesn't have the nation's all-purpose yardage leader returning kickoffs to help set up a FG in that case. Oh wait...

there is alot to pick out from what is disappointing but the fact the les miles killed the last chance of victory once again is disgraceful. I can live with a team being flat now and again because that will happen but to have it finally wake up only to be put down by its 3rd and chavis and then killed by its coach being a fricking moron is unacceptable.

08 arky les cost us any small chance at a win by kicking a fg that is 15 yards outside of his kickers range instead of a hail mary.

09 ole miss les sees shiny objects in vhs and forgets where he is for over 20 seconds before he burns a timeout. then on a last gasp pass with 1 second left he is screaming to spike it like a retard.

2011 jj in the title game down 2 scores fricking running the ball with a full back instead of passing it and trying to do something.

2012 puzzling coaching moves against bama that blow up in our fricking face to cost us the game, clemson game after hill is breaking it off in them les pulls him. they come back and win

2013 les miles goes retarded in oxford again

les miles the most retarded coach in the game but he is so quirky and funny with his grass eating and seal clap we should give him another raise.

would have been great to have 25 or so seconds to try to win the game

shite, teams like clemson, georgia, bama, and now ole miss have done it to LSU recently.

going right down the field and winning it.

Yeah, there's that too. We had everything a team could possibly want for using that time and taking it to OT or even winning with a little craziness.

obj has housed returns before and he has track speed but frick giving him a legit chance to return a kick. les was so worried about a fluke fg block

I get what you're saying man but let me ask you this. Les is the coach, probably for another 5 years...this is a done deal. But there is absolutely nothing constructive about
quote:

coach being a fricking moron
and may be destructive minimally for the chance a recruit reads this site...or a future staff prospect. So why go there? For a "I told ya so."?

And the players really needed that idiot's "expertise" on field goal rush technique considering they had already blocked one earlier in the quarter.

So LSU calls a TO with lets say 0:28 left. Ole Miss nails FG with 0:22 left. Return to 28. I don't know 0:16 left. And let's say the kicker's long is a 52 yarder.

So basically 37 yards for a FG attempt. Not at all a Hail Mary.

Miles was just being an idiot and not, again, thinking about the situation.

its the truth, do you have a better description of les miles on the sideline? the man tried to call a timeout after a turnover and then in two situations where you call a timeout right a way he just stares into space.

oh and if a recruit or potential coach is turned off by what random internet posters say than its not likely they will be someone that could handle the pressure of LSU.

We should have fair caught the kickoff and let Mett spike it like a boss.

Even Matt Millen was begging Les to call a timeout so we would be able to run a few plays after the FG. And this man almost burned down the Detroit Lions franchise.

Its a sad cold day when Matt Millen points out your coach's F ups on national tv.
