25 points a game and LSU is 10-2. Good times upon us. Schedule is nice next year.

It really is remarkable how Baker can even walk after carrying this fricking team on his back all year.

One good portal haul and LSU is in contention next year.

LSU has 4 home games in the first 5.

No back to back road games until the last two.

Road games @ Ole Miss, Kentucky, Tennesee , Arky and Auburn (hell yes welcome back tiger bowl).

Lucked out getting A&M at home and Miss State on the schedule.

Gonna do some big things soon

Will be the first season with 9 SEC games and a lot to prove!

Thats with this year's defense. Lets see how we replace 3 of our 4 best defenders in haulcy, delane, Perkins, and hopefully not Whit. New DE, dt starters, cooley may go pro. Need braker and Ross to step up and be big contributors next year.

Lane worked overtime getting Baker to stay. He wants to win now.

I could see Whit, Cooley and Butler coming back. Also, don’t forget about Reliford. He was going to have a breakout year before the injury

Whit’s not leaving Kiffin’s daughter to get smashed around in the NFL. He can pull a couple million out of NIL and have it all.

Haha come on, Perkins was a dude in his time here. He had 2-3, down games this year... so did whit even when he wasnt injured (ole miss). He finished the last 4 games really strong too, when he had 0 incentive to besides playing hard for the team, program.

For sure... I'm just saying its alot of names/ reps to replace. If we hit on a few portal spots, and 3-4 of young guys step up big, we can be solid again on the defensive side. Shanklin, mckinley, zion, reliford, whit pls pls, ross/ braker, Pickett, woodland, brown/ anding, spears, cooley if back.

To the other poster... this was butler graduate yr, hes done i thought? (Shanklin, cj jackson, 5 star true fr need to step up. Need portal stud here)

I wouldn’t call Perkins one of our 4 best defenders though.

Assuming Whit is returning, I am not worried about LB next year. Yeah Perkins mostly played the star position. I trust Baker will find the right guy

I think you’re overvalued the LB position. He isn’t getting a couple million.

Even if we take a small step back on offense, Lane should improve the offense by huge steps. Also keep in mind how long Bakers defense was on the field with meaningful snaps. He could match his production this year, with lesser talent, if Kiffin can play win TOP. Don’t underestimate how kiffins offense will help Baker. Not to mention, if we are playing with a lead, how Baker can get really aggressive to create turnovers. Kiffin and Baker could be a match made in football heaven. We just can’t waste the limited time we have with Baker.

Did you watch a game the past 2 years? Perkins is a liability. Addition by subtraction.

We had whit this year on the team, and lb play against ole miss, vandy, atm was horrible. Keys was terrible all year. Even if whit is back, you need Ross, braker to step up and he guys, or bring in 1-2, portal kids

78 tackles this year, more than any season Perkins ever had

That was my biggest complaint this season besides our pass rush. Shocked we didn’t see more Braker and Ross considering the athleticism of Keys and Wes Weeks

Weeks would obviously not have made a difference vs A&M but I've said all along that if Whit Weeks played against Vanderbilt, LSU would have won that game. As you said the LBer play was hideous in that game. WW is pretty fast but more importantly his football instincts as to where he should be on a play are the best of any on defense. I keep comparing him to Ron Sancho in that regard.

Ole miss has the potential to be a problem they may murder our HC before the game starts

I have been saying that for 2 years also...really 3 since he was hurt last season. Perkins is simply a good athlete who looks All-American before the ball is snapped. Then, the play starts and he loses focus or makes the wrong decision about where the play is going. Even when he guesses right, he misses way too many tackles. You know what people remember...the 2 games against Arkansas where he was totally dominant. Put Arkansas on the schedule every game and he's in New York as a Heisman finalist.
