Lots of young talent at LB. Singleton, Z. Weeks, and Moses. I feel good about the secondary once we add a few pieces from portal. DLine will be the key. We’ll need to find some edge guys in the portal, and we need a few of these freshman to hit right away.

Also, don’t forget about Reliford. He was going to have a breakout year before the injury

Based on what exactly? Nothing against the kid, but I keep seeing this mentioned and I feel like I've never really seen anything that makes him stand out.

He's played 17 games in his career and has 18 tackles (2 TFLs/ .5 sacks).

Had we had OM's schedule this year, we would be 10-2.

LSU 3-5
Fl 2-6
KY 2-6
SC 1-7
State 1-7
Ark 0-8

They played 4 bad teams out of conference (don't give me Tulane), and Georgia and OU. It is possible that LSU beats ou with a healthy squad earlier in the year.

This isn't to say LSU was good, it is to point out how fortunate OM was. They scraped by several of those bad games too, including us.

I like your optimism, but that November stretch will be brutal.

Bama, Texas, @Tenn will be rough. Even @Arky to close out the season won't be a cake walk because they always play us tough.

We had whit this year on the team, and lb play against ole miss, vandy, atm was horrible. Keys was terrible all year
well in one of those games, Whit was playing sick and on a broken ankle, and in the other two games whit didn’t play at all.

Road games @ Ole Miss
The SEC Office "Delicate Geniuses" have this game scheduled on the third week of the season and not on Saturday October 31st Halloween. This is totally asinine!

Thats with this year's defense. Lets see how we replace 3 of our 4 best defenders in haulcy, delane, Perkins, and hopefully not Whit.

No doubt, he has a tough job ahead of him, but we will be in the third year of his system. He also did pretty damn good in 2024 after taking over the worst defense in P5 and did it without 3 of those 4 mentioned. I don't expect him to bring in a first team AA corner like Dealne, but Pickett will not be a green freshman and we have a lot more recruited depth going into 2026.

Offense should be much improved next season no doubt. If Baker can keep the defense at a similar spot to hold opposing teams to under 20 points per game we should be in good shape. However, we have a really brutal stretch to end the season.

Not sure most of our fans realize how good Delane and Haulcy were this year. Delane didn’t give up a td. This was the best secondary we have seen at lsu in a minute. You don’t just replace a cover guy like Delane. Won’t be quite as good right away. If our Dline is good it will help but this was a special group

Plays star position, and is in coverage half the plays or more. Keys sits at mlb and rbs come to him. Keys struggled in huge ways in coverage, or getting to the edge on run plays. Not sure anyone would disagree with that. Terrible was maybe strong word on my part ha, it was just obvious vandy, ole miss, atm, etc attacked he and wes in pass coverage. Vandy outside runs and he and wes couldn't get there. Hes good for box mlb to fill a hole, but hes bad in coverage and slow to the outside plays. The tackles argument is like saying major burns was a good safety

Not sure youre serious if saying Keys had a better year then Perkins. Perkins played good- great against clemson, florida, scar, bama, ou, arky, not gonna count any non p4 teams. What game did Keys play great? Cause he struggled just as much as Perkins against ole miss, vandy, atm.
