Why does the O supporters always group the firing of Miles with the hiring of O?

I don't know. In my opinion, if Miles hadn't of hired o in 2015, o wouldn't be our head coach and might possibly still be sitting on his arse in South Louisiana.

quote:

In no way was I in favor of hiring O at any point.

O wasn't anywhere near my top choice either. After Miles was fired and o was named the interim coach, the team responded well (although that happens all the time when the head man is canned and someone new takes over to finish out the year) and for a brief moment I thought, could this knucklehead do the job. Then after he shite the bed during the Florida game, I regained my senses and realized Eddy O ain't no head coach. Pretty good position coach, but not a head coach.

quote:

Now the sec is loaded with good coaches and we have a coach nobody else wanted.

Exactly.

quote:

Oh and just a side note: Watch how much O "loves LSU" after he is fired this year or next for having even or losing seasons.

Yeah, o loves LSU and it's his dream job, the same way Ole Miss and USC was.

We are already heading into year 3 of the Ed Orgeron era.

Eh, I don't really consider the interim year as his first year. The pressures are vastly different and even his coaching style was different. IMO, this should be considered his second year.

National pundits stick their toe in the rant stream to gage the football temp and base their article on it. The squeeky sky-is-falling wheel is getting the grease.

You people clinging to that Troy game are unbelievable. Saban lost to UAB in 2000.Troy was tons better than that UAB team.UAB was only in their 5th yr of D1.Saban then lost to ULM at Alabama.

Is O in Saban's league? Of course not.Point is even the best get upset. But the way some of you embrace the Troy loss, ignore the Auburn win and are hoping 2018 is a disaster is just pathetic.

No, it wasn’t.

miles has more sec west titles than Saban had seasons finishing ranked in the top 15

miles has as many top 5 seasons as Saban, mac and dietzel combined.
quote:

Saban took over a crappy program and turned it into one of the nation’s best.

that doesnt make his tenure more successful.

miles has the most accomplished tenure in lsu history.

would saban have surpassed what miles did? sure but he didnt.

Hell lsu from 2011-2015 had more top 15 finishes than saban's tenure.

quote:

Saban’s tenure was clearly superior.

Saban's tenure = 16 losses 12 conf
2 top 15 finishes
Lsu from 2011-2015( the era that got miles fired)= 15 losses 12 conf losses
3 top 15 finishes

thats not even bringing into the discussion how shitty the west was during saban's tenure

during Saban's tenure he faced 1 sec west program with less than 3 losses

quote:

Saban’s tenure was clearly superior. If Miles had left after the 2012 season you would have a good argument, but he didn’t, and you don’t.

miles = 4 top 5 finishes
saban= 3 finishes ranked

had saban stayed youd probably have an argument, but he didnt and you dont.

miles has more...
1.Sec west titles
2.sec title game appearances
3.more national title game appearances.
5.higher win %
6. most top 25 finishes in lsu history
7. most top 15 finishes in lsu history
8. most top 10 finishes in lsu history
9. most top 5 finishes in lsu history
10. most top 2 finishes in lsu history
11. no lsu coach had beaten more ranked teams
12. no lsu coach has been ranked in the top 25 more weeks

miles got fired for having seasons that saban had.

saban is the best coach in lsu history but its not even an argument that he has the most accomplished.

people paid to evaluate talent had lsu has the 6th most talented roster in cfb.

in 2017 we had 52 4 and 5 star players.
troy didnt have a single composite 4 star player

Mississippi State had 16

It's really easy to doubt LSU right now when they have literally nothing proven on the offensive side of the ball right now. New QB, no known proven RB, and no proven receivers. Plus the media/fans don't think much of Orgeron as a coach. The defensive side should be very good, but if the offense doesn't do anything it's going to be a very long year. Plus the schedule is just crazy. We'll be underdogs for sure vs Miami, Auburn, UGA, and Bama. There will be very tough games vs State, Florida, and A&M. I'm not sure what to expect from Ole Miss and Arkansas.

2015 when we had our rb be the first sec rb to lead the ncaa in rushing since 1949.

2016 when we had the most olinemen make all sec, a rimington award finalist, Nd led the country in yards before contact.

its like you dont know that you can look this shite up.

every year except 2017 our oline is considered one of the best in cfb by people paid to evaluate oline play.

im sure your tv viewing or TS( even worse) out weigh all 22 film.

you repeatedly said the only thing standing between lsu and titles was the last coach.then wheb our unqualified head coach herp derps his way into historic losses by week 5, this is a rebuild.

ed orgeron is a proven failure as a head coach. stop making excuses for things you bashed the last coach for

saban took over a program that hadnt won 5 games in over 2 years and lost at least 6 sec games in both the previous 2 years.

O took over a program HE CLAIMED WAS GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

except...
When saban got to lsu he had been a very successful NFL dc and taken a MSU program coming off sanctions and had a top 10 finish.
Ed orgeron came to lsu as a proven failure and his entire head coaching career is built upon shite losses like troy. thats his resume. troy type losses
