I 100% agree with them. 7-5 to 5-7. If LSU starts out 1-2, you better believe O will lose it because he’s too thin skinned. It hasbeen reported he reads absolutely everything the media says about him and sends his slimy pal Derek to defend him on the message boards.

The fallout of 2018 will be the best thing to ever happen to LSU.

And to all of the zerO supporters who are going to be a bitch and reply to this....

Just wait on it.

Good to know that we should know what kind of team we have with 4 games left in the season.

Don't lump me into the "you just want LSU to fail" group.

Just to get it out in the open, even though I've said it before, I don't want LSU to fail. I'm at every home game, I drive 4 hours for each game. So my support of LSU is not in question.

The bottom line is O was hired to sustain the success Miles had and he hasn't done it. In probably the easiest SEC he'll coach in, the best he could do was 9-4.

Got run over by a good but not great Miss. State team and lost to Troy in Tiger Stadium at night.

Now O faces Richt, Malzahn, Mullen, Saban, Fisher all in one season.

The criticism is warranted. I, and I'm willing to bet that most fans, don't want to see this decline to get really bad, to the point where we really start losing recruits.

It's nothing personal, at least from me, toward O. He's not a good SEC coach. If he proves everyone wrong, then I'll be first in line to eat crow.

Oh is that the bottom line because you said so?

Miles couldn't sustain the blueprint left by CNS. Heck, Miles couldn't sustain his own success! Now he was in no way another Larry Coker, but the final 3 years of Miles had LSU in a dogfight with State and losing. Miles teams were no longer winning bowl games either.

Not sure where this idea came from but no. Alleva himself said it. Google it.

quote:

We got our man and he's been here all along," athletic director Joe Alleva said in a statement. "Coach Orgeron has demonstrated his ability to run this program with excellence, even under difficult circumstances. Coach 'O' earned this job

And that was prior to last season. O knows the expectations as well, so I'm not pulling stuff out of the air.

quote:

Orgeron said Saturday. "I understand the expectations at LSU and I invite them because I have the same expectations of myself and my staff."

quote:

Miles couldn't sustain the blueprint left by CNS

Not sure why these things always turn into a Miles bash thing. Miles wasn't perfect.

But it's hard to argue with the results. Won a national championship and got to another one. Won the SEC conference twice.

That's just off the top of my head.

quote:

Miles teams were no longer winning bowl games either.

In his last few years at LSU, yes, he got stubborn and said he would change the offense and he never did.

In any event, this is what we have now. O is not a good head coach. This past season's record are evidence of that. It gets harder now.

And if you want me to say it again, I will. O gets through this season virtually unscathed, I'll eat crow and have seconds.

Blueprint my arse! You fricking knuckleheads that think Saban walked on water at LSU are comical. Miles took over a team that Saban went 9-3 with and took them to the SEC Championship Game.

Saban's record at LSU.
2000: 8-4
2001: 10-3
2002: 8-5
2003: 13-1
2004: 9-3

It's like being on a fricking pogo stick. Up, down, up, down.

Miles record at LSU.
2005: 11-2
2006: 11-2
2007: 12-2
2008: 8-5
2009: 9-4
2010: 11-2
2011: 13-1
2012: 10-3
2013: 10-3
2014: 8-5
2015: 9-3 with a cancelled game against McNeese State

quote:

but the final 3 years of Miles has LSU in a dogfight with State and losing. Miles teams were no longer winning bowl games either.

Again, Miles final 3 years at LSU were 10-3, 8-5 and 9-3. Play the Mcneese game in 2015 and I'd bet a dollar to a donut LSU wins 10 games that season.

And as far as bowl games are concerned, Miles team won 2 out 3 his final 3 years. The only loss was against Notre Dame in a game where Chavis clocked out early on the team and the refs fricked LSU out of a touchdown at the end of the first half on a fake field goal attempt.

But let me guess, in your eyes, o has the team trending up and the fricking skys the limit. Right?

WE COMIN' AND WE AIN'T BACKING DOWN!

I have one last comment about Saban. He's a different coach at Alabama than he was at LSU.

No, it wasn’t. You can quote wins and losses all you want, the facts are that Saban took over a crappy program and turned it into one of the nation’s best. Miles took over a great program, sustained it for about seven years, then managed it into a second ten program - and that’s being generous.

I have a lot of respect and appreciation for what Miles did in his first seven years at LSU. Not a lot of coaches could have done that. What Saban did was breathtaking. He took over a crappy program and won the national title in his third year. Did it again at Alabama, too.

Saban’s tenure was clearly superior. If Miles had left after the 2012 season you would have a good argument, but he didn’t, and you don’t.
