NIL and the Transfer Portal has sucked the life from college football from me. Never have I been as disinterested as I have this year.

Definitely ready for some LSU baseball though.

I follow both Men’s and Women’s some, not a lot though. Will definitely try to get into it this year. Thank you for pointing that out.

NIL is entrenched in baseball as well. Big difference is Jay wins most of those portal battles

You do know NIL and the transfer portal is also a major part of college baseball too?

Spring scrimmages should begin in late January. LSU has 26 new players this year with 4 or 5 returning starters. The portal was good for us and there are several talented freshmen as well. The Tigers should be ranked near the top of the SEC and nationally, IMO.

The transfer portal is the same way in Baseball. The only difference is we are more like the Texas’s and Oregon’s in NIL for college baseball

Yeah, but what he's saying is that he is a fair weather fan. You think LSU fans are saying how college football sucked the life out of them if LSU is in the playoffs? Of course not.

NIL is a fraction of what it is compared to football. Really not even that big of a deal. Its more portal/recruiting.

Correct. I knew people would bring up NIL is there with other sports, but it doesn't seem like a determining factor for the most part.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't even think a proven guy like Skenes got a million to come to LSU. Yet the #1 HS women's basketball recruit wants a million.

I remember hearing a number of Tommy Tanks getting 50k? I could be way off, but he donated like 30k of it anyways. Seems like Skenes donated most of his as well.

this is true and it’s just more fun when you win.

Jay has his program in a much better spot than BK and he is just more likable than BK. Of course the biggest factor is he wins.

Facts. Fans shouldn't be mad about it. Embrace it. These are the rules now and we're one of, if not the top dog in the baseball NIL realm. Feels good to be king.

There is some truth to the argument that we like it in baseball because we are killing it. Jay Johnson is baseball's version of Nick Saban, but young enough to adapt to NIL.

If we were Texas in football right now, we would be applauding NIL.

Yea if we had a young adaptive Saban type coach in football this would be different.

I don’t think BK is as bad as Dabo with NIL and the portal but he isn’t a fan of it.
