2 listed at 2b and no SS...who are you expecting there and do you really think Braswell is moving to 3rd?

Didn't even realize I put 2 at 2B. Ultimately my gut tells me Braswell ends up there. I think Dickinson gets first shot. It's not impossible that Milam ends up there, I just don't think it will happen.

Jay mentioned that Braswell was working on playing lower when defending and that should help his defense.

I'm not concerned about the infield but we do lack a true stud SS.

Catcher is the bigger concern. Hernandez looked pretty good and he's still learning. Arrambide still learning but has a lot of potential. Priester just seems to have lapses in concentration. It could be ADD or just how he is, but he's athletic with a strong arm.

It'll be interesting to see who sticks in the OF and DH. A lot of talented players with limited spots "open".

Stanfield
Curiel
Brown
Josh Pearson
Paul
Frey
Beck
Larson
John Pearson
Hernandez
Yamin

That's a hell of a lot of options, i didn't even include catchers that could see DH time.

Didn't Milam in a recent interview hint that he was moving to the left side of the IF?

I don't really see moving Braswell off SS. Not like we have shoe-in replacement currently. Milam would be a project as well and apparently Dickinson has some work to do defensively.

Braswell SS
Milam 3B
Dickinson 2B

Is how I see it playing out

He said he was going to take some reps on the left side at the end of the fall but he got sick and was shut down.

I've seen him taking reps at SS in practice and he is very capable of playing there. In which case you would have Dickinson at 2B and Braswell at 3B.

It could happen but I think Braswell or Dickinson at SS is more likely.

In the beginning of the fall it was mostly Dickinson at SS and Braswell at 3B. I didn't see Dickinson or Milam take many reps at 3B if any. I know Dickinson played there some at Utah Valley last year but mostly played 2B.

If you are asking about Cowan. He looks solid but nothing flashy. I think he will be effective when he plays. You know what you are getting with him, so Jay can use him when the situtation is right. I see Primeaux the same way.

Yep, same here. Going to the Saturday game vs Nebraska. Over the first base dugout, four rows up. Excited as hell!

To be fair, if I'm not mistaken I think Cam came out in his first spring scrimmage and struck out 5 of the 6 batters he faced. The final out of his 2 inning outing would have been a strikeout but Neal dropped the 3rd strike and had to throw to first.

Didn’t Miliam go on Masconas show over a month ago and confirmed playing shortstop?
