The only pitcher you have a chance with is Hurd. I guess Herring is a long shot. If Coleman stays he is a solid possibility, plus that LH they recently picked up in the portal. There will be others, though.

Appleby will be in the mix to start

It’s hard to believe Chase shores will pitch in 2024. Just don’t see that happening

Any more Tommy White’s in the portal?

I think the MIF from New Mexico comes to Baton Rouge and starts at either 2B or SS.

We need a few transfers that have an elite offensive resume. OF and middle infield should be open for business.
In 2022 he had Berry/Crews
in 2023, he had White/Crews
He knows he needs another headliner to go with Tommy White for next year. I think with the guys they currently have, they could have decent lineup depth. But they need another headliner, and prob a 3rd all-conf type guy.

Frey is definitely going to have to get better defensively. In the small amount of playing time he got he misplayed a few balls
He didn’t exactly light the world on fire offensively either

Guidry will be staying pitching rotation. Kid from Ole Miss is transferring in.

Too early to tell. If Chase Burns comes over….he’s in the rotation.
You're underselling this.
Chase Burns would be our Friday starter.

Burns likely to TCU
Herring will be solid next year
Herring will be solid next year

That’s doesn’t make sense. All I’ve been hearing is that Burns really wants to come to LSU

Way too soon. Said this last year when people were trying to predict the lineup. Would be fun to find those old threads.
Hopefully we add quite a few elite players from the portal.

Jobert will obviously be a starter.

Starting Rotation:
Thatcher Hurd
Grant Taylor
Chase Shores/Griffin Herring
Grant Taylor and Chase Shores is a stretch. Grant might eventually crack the starting lineup at the tail end of the season but to expect him to start coming of Tommy John is a bit of a stretch.
Shores won't even pitch next year most likely since he tore his UCL during the season. We will have multiple transfers who will compete for the starting rotation. But as far as the pitchers we have I would say Hurd, Coleman, and Herring are probably the 3 most likely of the ones we have coming back.

you know something that the majority of us do not know?

Not Jobert in RF?
Assuming that the late dip in production was due to injury, you have to find a place for Travinski, too. He was unbelievable and was our best hitter for a good stretch.
