I like Bianco at dh if hitting improves. If you have to dh or pinch run for anyone can’t he take a position on the field?

We arent putting someone in the lineup because of what they did in the past. LSU will have better options than Beloso at DH in 2022

264/344/405 career
What the numbers say: Beloso ran into a few HRs as a freshmen but has had pretty putrid power numbers otherwise over his 130 game sample size. At some point you have to let go

So still an auto out at catcher

Ok now quote my second part for full context.

Beloso came in raw and is still raw. When he got here, he had success without a book on him. He was never developed so he started to regress when teams found his weaknesses. By the time we started working with him, he was in his own head already. I'm not writing Beloso off yet. I just have wide eyes with some of the potential transfers coming in that are already farther along...they, too, may have an adjustment period so you just never know.

Dugas, Drost, and Bianco are all better options at DH

2- Kessler
3- Boisierre
4- Simon
5- Doughty
6- Thompson
7- Pearson
8- Morgan
9- Crews
DH- Dugas
Batting order
Morgan
Crews
Simon
Boisierre
Dugas
Doughty
Pearson
Kessler
Thompson
Maybe swap Boisierre and Berry depending on who makes it here if either.
Eventually Simon takes over at SS and Merrifield goes to 2B.

So you think Thompson will be on the bench by the end of the season?

For two better bats? Plausible.

Not a big fan of Thompson in the 2 hole.

You're really, really high on Simon. I like him but he's not a day 1 starter on this team unless we lose everybody to the draft and miss on the remaining transfer options. Then, you have Merrifield. I guess we'll see.

1. Dylan Crews, rf
2, Tre Morgan, cf
3. Jacob Berry, 1b
4. Gavin Dugas, 2b
5. Cade Doughty, 3b
6. Branden Boissiere, lf
7. Braden Jobert, dh
8. Ian Moller, c
9. Jack Merrifield, ss
Probably not the best defensive lineup of all time, but they rake like it's going out of style.

I really am, but truth be known I’ve known him a bit for awhile. Watched him play since 11u. As a scout once told me, “he plays like a Latino” and he’s got an unreal work ethic.
