I’m still annoyed that we let Alabama close the gap in that game. Would be even more absurdly sexy when read out loud.
Agreed. A punt return and two long TDs on defensive lapses accounted for 20 of Alabama’s points. Aside from those plays, it was a 59+ minute, 46-20 beatdown of epic proportions.

Still Mike Greenberg. Guy is a total weasel.

The ranking of the 2019 team will be helped by the play of Burrow, Chase and Jefferson over the next decade.
If they keep doing what they're doing, in ten years, teenagers will not believe all three played on the same college team.
For us Gen Xers, it would have been unfathomable had Roger Staubach, Lynn Swann and Paul Warfield been on the same college team that went undefeated and won the national championship, Heisman, and beat 7 top ten teams. Let some time pass and Burrow, Chase and Jefferson dominate. Anyone arguing otherwise will look silly.

15 games - never trailed in the 4th quarter
Underselling this. No team had the ball in the fourth quarter with a chance to tie or take the lead, except that Florida had the ball, down seven, with about 13 minutes to go. That’s it!

Coach O built a hell of a team.

My biggest regret had been not going to the championship game because I didn't want my brother to spend that much on tickets.

Most impressive to me is that it's five years later and five quarterbacks that LSU faced in 2019 are still starting in the NFL: Jordan Love, Bo Nix, Tua, Jalen Hurts, and Trevor Lawrence.

There is no argument they are the Goat team to date. Anyone else says different is simply lying to themselves.
