New, refreshing topic!

No. 04 Nick Brossette 6-0, 218, SR
No. 22 Clyde Edwards-Helaire 5-8, 208, SO (had a nice catch and run vs aTm)
No. 27 Lanard Fournette 5-10, 201, JR

Chris Curry
Tae Provens?

If they sign.?.

Obviously, we've offered more, but who will step up and carry the load for this team next season?

Clyde will be your starter.

Brossette and Curry will split as backups.

Pooka / Joiner would shake that up a bit.

Nope. Like tigerbru wrote, CEH is the starter. He'll also be the third down back. Brossette will get lots of plays, and one of the freshmen will be the third string back getting mop up reps.

brossette will fumble

PS: Im pretty sure brossette has 1 career fumble, but I am too lazy to look up his game logs.

I'm pretty sure he has 2 total, 1 in his freshman year. Only lost the one this year.

Guice has 5 fumbles, 2 lost. Same time frame, way more carries

Push comes to shove, stick Devin White's big arse in the backfield and dare someone to try to tackle him.

People forget he could have played RB at probably any SEC school he wanted to.

Will you be riding Brosettes dick if he has a good year next year? You're the kind of a-hole who says shite like "I knew he had it in him. Just needed an opportunity to play" "I called this past year!!!!"
Nah it will be more of I told you so when he isn't playing.

The funny thing is Devin White could start all over them run for 1200+ with probably 15 TD’s and still be drafted in the top 5 of next years draft as a LB

Lanard is basically a walk on with a token scholarship, I don’t think he gets any meaningful carries.

CEH should get the bulk of the carries. Unless NB improves greatly in the off-season I don’t see him being the guy.

Ducre is kind of a man without a position right now in Canada's offense. It's obvious Tory Carter will take over H-back duties next year. I could see Ducre switch back to RB and be our short yardage option.

If Canda stays the offense will focus more on Brennan and the passing game. The QB and receivers will carry the offensive weight and our backs will be the complement. We have some diversity with Helaire as the smaller pass catching change of pace guy, Brosette as your standard 2 down back and maybe someone like Ducre coming in on short yardage. Don’t wanna comment on the guys i haven’t seen yet but I’m sure we’ll have someone els in the mix as well. If Brossette can have a Steven Ridley workman type of season we will be fine.

Next spring and fall practices will determine if Brossette is ready and is the best. I personally think that CEH could be either the starter or at the least a big time rotater with Brossette. I know some people see CEH and think oh he is a small back... Not even close, he is 5'8" yes, but he is a solid 210 lbs. and can still a 4.4-4.5 40 with quickness as well. Of course let's not forget about the other Fournette. If Lanard F. can get into excellent shape and be a speed back that has size he will be in the picture. And then there are the possible freshmen. If Joiner signs we get a RB that we have needed for a few seasons now, a big downhill runner, which LSU is known for having usually. Joiner may be listed at 6'4" 218, but he could easily boost his weight and speed.

WHo knows we may have so many great LB's ILB and OLB, that Devin White can be our downhill runner. Can you imagine trying to step in the way of a guy that is 6'1" 255-260 solid lbs. that can run a legit 4.5-4.6 40... But at this point he is a vicious Defensive player, so we won't see that I am sure.

Giving Dupree an opportunity at at running back is not a bad idea. He has the size and speed to get the job done. He and Broussard could be the 2017 version of Blue and Hilliard.

I thought Lanard looked good in the spring game. I’m surprised he is >200#

I feel like moving Ducre back to rb is a great move. He and Guice was basically the same type of back in high school. I understood the move to fullback because he had Guice and Brossette in his class at rb be to. But moving him to rb is a big boost

So what about nick as primary, Clyde in wildcat and third and long, with Ducre third and short with Clyde on the wing, assuming Canada stays?
