Interim doesn't count. An interim coach's primary job is to keep the team emotionally intact, and he's using the prior coach's players, staff, scheme, etc.
If Saban dropped dead and they named me interim at Bama, I'd have a very good record. Doesn't make me a good coach.

OP, you're viewing our talent as it exists in a vacuum. You're not comparing it to the competition.
The analysts and talking heads add up our talent, depth and coaching and compare that as a whole against other teams.
That's how you get to 6-6.

People want to complain about what's making this site a toilet...this bullshite right here being allowed to take place. I mean, what in the actual frick? We go through nearly 20 years of dominant LSU football and NOW in the past 18 months we have posters coming out the fricking woodwork who almost UNIVERSALLY all have the exact same message...and they are simply allowed to keep at it.

The only thing shocking to me would be if any of our OL starters turn out to be all-conference players. Now that we don't have a bunch of misdirection, pre-snap motion, window dressing, WR jet sweeps....is our OL going to be able to straight up win 1on1 battles against the DLs we are going to face?

If you up the ante and only include on;y teams that are 8-5 or higher, his win total drops to 5. Only one of those last year.
And of course his ole miss days are dismal, so I guess that’s why you chose to ignore them. 2 total wins over a team with a winning record in his 10 total wins and both were against Memphis who had 7 win seasons both times.
If Oregon wants a good legacy, he needs to start winning a lot more.
